what are the biggest payouts anyone has seen an fcs get for playing a money game?

Montana got 650 for Iowa I believe.

App State is contracted to get $850k for the Michigan rematch if they are still FCS at that point.

I believe they got close to that for the LSU game.

hmmm, so my school scheduling utah state and wyoming for a couple benjamins doesnt appear to be the most optimal schedule for money games.

And we got $750,000 from LSU in 2008.

NDSU got $300k from MN in 06 and 07 (IIRC) and $375k this year.

Old Dominion has not received one yet. But we did pay 2 D-II teams $15K each for playing at our place and Cal Poly $53K to come kick our asses.

UNI vs Iowa 2012 - $500,000
UNI vs Wisconsin 2012 - $450,000 + Wisconsin is buying UNI out of the Southern Utah game.

Del State got $550k from Michigan in '09. Although the net profit was significantly less than that...

Which is apparently going to be another 100-150k, plus the money UNI is saving on travel.

Two FBS games for UNI in one year. Not to mention two good programs? That Whiskey game is going to be brutal but fun to watch. Hopefully you guys show up and pull another Appy/Michigan type upset. Hell even though we'd never hear the end of it from UNI fans it would be deserved boasting. Is the two FBS games due to the $$$$ issues going on right now down there?

12 game season and being told to start running the athletic department in the black. The FB program was only about 4-500k from being in the black.

EWU got somewhere between 400k-450k (seen both reported) to play Washington this year. I think Texas Tech was a bigger payout when we played them a couple years ago, though.

Next year we play Washington State AND Idaho. I doubt either payouts will be that much. Another great scheduling extravaganza from our AD.

I believe Missouri State got about $850k combined for their Arkansas and Oregon games this year...

Not sure how much we are getting for our Kansas State and Louisville games next year

I thought I remembered reading about an FCS (or I-AA) team getting almost a mill for a game a few years back.
but that might have been a late "emergency" addition by a BCS team trying to fill their schedule at the last minute.

I believe Indiana State got 500k for going to Happy Valley this year.
