colorado played cal 2 weeks ago in a non confernce game. both are pac 12.

The Pac-12 let Colorado and Cal play their game as it was scheduled before the Buffs joined the Pac-12.

The Big Sky may have to let the teams schedule non conference within the conference as there are just so many FCS teams west of the Mississippi and most of them will be in the Big Sky.

Grambling is near Shreveport
Southern is in Baton Rouge, and actually is east of the mississippi now that I look it up, on the east bank of the river

Add Nichols State - on the west side of the Mississippi in the swamp

Texas Southern is in Houston (different school than Southern)
Prairie View is in between Austin and Houston, in Prairie View, TX, but closer to Houston.
Thibodeaux, LA (Nicholls) is west of the Mississippi, whereas Hammond, LA (SELA) is east of the river.
Substitute UCA for SELA.

FWIW - Grambling is about 70 miles from Shreveport. It's closer to Ruston

I happened to browse the NDSU athletic's site recently, and I like where all future FB schedules/games are listed, once signed and confirmed. Wish all schools did that, and I have shared this with the VMI folks, since future games are on the main Institute master calendar, why not on the Athletics' site as well.

I, for one, would like to see the Big Sky play some SWAC teams, have them step out of their comfort zone a bit.
