So J, think your boys hold on here? So far we can make my 28-27 PSU score prediction with another PSU TD and a late flurry of UM scoring.

Unless we can somehow transform into a team with some kind of offense, I think you do. I've been critical of our offense and I think we need to continue to be. We should be able to do better than we are. I don't have an aswer for what to fix it, but it is sure ugly lately and not improving.SDHornet wrote:So J, think your boys hold on here? Re: Portland St. @ Montana
Montana goes for it on 4th and turns it over on downs.
Montana is going to need some semblance of a vertical passing game to get back in this game. QB change? Johnson really struggles to throw the ball it seems.
Good news for Montana is that PSU's offense seems pretty stagnant as well.

Damn I was away from the comp for that one. Sombrano goes out with a leg injury following a pass to the PSU 2.EWURanger wrote:And PSU gets penalized for a chop-block.....hmmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah but egriz will spin it into being PSU's 7th personal foul and 4 of which would have cause season ending injuries to 7 starting linemen.JALMOND wrote:whateverEWURanger wrote:And PSU gets penalized for a chop-block.....hmmmmmmmmmmm![]()

Re: Portland St. @ Montana
We have the capability, the coach just decides to run passing plays that take way too long to develop and allow the D to just TEE OFF on our QB. Not to mention I think I have only seen a handful of slants and virtually nothing to the TE's in the middle.EWURanger wrote:Montana goes for it on 4th and turns it over on downs.

Re: Portland St. @ Montana
UM bailed out on a 3rd and goal by a PI call.
PSU's goal-line D:
Spoke too soon. TD UM on a reverse.

Re: Portland St. @ Montana
TD Montana. Now 21-16 PSU. UM misses 2 point conversion.

I really thought Hardy and Middleton would be a bigger part of UM's offense this year. Not so much it seems.SeattleGriz wrote:We have the capability, the coach just decides to run passing plays that take way too long to develop and allow the D to just TEE OFF on our QB. On another note, MSU is steam-rolling NAU. I really don't see them losing a conference game this season.

No shit. Middleton was one of the top TE prospects when he went to the UW. You can't tell me he just all of a sudden started sucking.EWURanger wrote:I really thought Hardy and Middleton would be a bigger part of UM's offense this year. Not so much it seems.SeattleGriz wrote:

I almost think Pflugrad is trying to impress Oregon with his version of the spread because they canned him. Only problem is, he apparently only knew the side to side plays.

Re: Portland St. @ Montana
McCaffrey breaks one, one WR block makes it a TD.
Re: Portland St. @ Montana
I think the 4 and 5 wide passing game Montana used to use or even Bobby ball is better suited to the FCS than this spread-option stuff.SeattleGriz wrote:No ****.
