Edwards can't haul in TD no. 5. 2nd. down.
Herd catches a 7 yarder. 3rd. & 3.
Edwards catches a first down & goes down at the 1.

Forte stuffed for a short loss.
Forte scores on 2nd. down.

42-35 EWU with Sac's possession coming up.

What a great game.

Eastern has had WRs wide open on most every play since the start of the 4th.

I guess it would be asking too much to tackle someone.

Saffron with a 15 yard run to the 10. 1st. & goal at the 10 can be death, though.
Saffron gets nothing on 1st. down.
Norrise gets 3 yards on a reverse on 2nd. down.
Pass caught at the 4. 4th. down.

Timeout Sac.

Incomplete. Eastern wins.

Sac gave that game away. EWU had 13 points to start the 4th. and ended up with 42.

You can't sit on a lead playing against Mitchell, Edwards, et. al.

Now if we could just find a way to replace 4 All-Americans and about 5 other starters. At this point I'm just hoping for a winning season.

Sac starts the season with a Pac-10 win, and will end it out of the playoffs yet again

It's still theoretically possible, but Sil is VERY likely correct....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Cannot believe that one team could lose that many starters to injury in a single season as we have. The fact that we're still competing with everyone shows the heart of champions our guys have. Never give up. Never surrender. GO EAGLES!!!!

I had to work during the game but was listening on 700ESPN via my phone. My battery died right after we completed the 4th and 5 on the final drive to tie the game, and didn't get to listen to the rest. Had to charge it and find out we won 30 minutes later via ESPN score tracker. The suspense was fucking killing me! :ohno:

N. Edwards, 11 receptions, 192 yards, 4 td's and was one yard short of a 5th. :notworthy:

Well…we took our foot off the pedal and it cost us. Our kicking game is hands down the worst in D-1. Congrats to EWU, they fought hard and for a full 60+ minutes to win this one. It was well deserved. The Hornets are not mathematically out of the playoffs but emotionally I think they are. We could win out but I don’t think that will happen. Brutal choke job. :ohno:
