More proof today...

Post by SuperHornet »

...that Phillip Rivers is NOT an NFL quarterback.

That was the most pathetic excuse for a two-minute drill I've EVER seen. He was utterly confused, he couldn't lead, and he kept going to these crazy time-consuming shifts when he SHOULD have had two plays called in a simple 2x2 formation.

The Lightning Bolts spent the entire bank on THIS? Compare that to Drew Brees, who has a ring with the freaking 'Ain'ts and knows what it takes to win games. The only thing Rivers has going for him is that he's not Ryan Leaf. I saw this coming from Day One. Dump two HOF QBs at the same time for this POS poor excuse for a playcaller? The SD front office ought to be fired en masse for this busted pick....

In fact, Alex Smith is doing terrific for the Niners this season, "leading" them to wins and whatever. Let's trade straight up

So is Big Ben, but quite a few folks would love to have him as their QB.

Very Romoesque in the way Rivers gave away the game in the final moments, didn't you think?

heard him today on with Dan Patrick... he sounds like he's finally getting his shit together.

has a book he's plugging about his time at Wazzou... with an eye on a book about his being drafted and being (his words) "the biggest bust of all time"

honestly, for the first time ever I heard a guy who had finally put the events of 10-15 years ago behind him and was ready to be a grown man about it.

He has been on DP a couple times the last year or two....and every time he is on he sounds more and more grown up. He admits he was completely immature and that is why he failed. I can't wait to pick up a copy of the book, which it sounds like will be part of a series. The first one is his time at Wash St, the one he is doing now is post career to now, and the NFL time will be the last one....Seems like a strange order, but he seems to have his shit together.
