What a bunch of tools. :ohno: :ohno:

the stones are being cast at you guys, not ur griz players. how can you even talk this way about any injury. if he was ur son you would pull him out of the MRI machine and poor some beer on his wound and tell him not to be wus? that is what i am getting from this thread.

its really not a laughing matter regardless of who was injured or what team they play for.
I'm not laughing at the kids injury. Just saying it was an overreaction. I AM laughing at some of the posts here, though. Buncha holier-than-thou saints....

I do like the beer on the wound idea, though. :thumb:

So really, so what if it was an over-reaction? Why do you care? You think this is some vast conspiracy to make UM look bad? You think Weber's trying to soak UM for medical bills? What is it? Why do you think an 18 or 19 year old freshman would carry a "faked" injury far enough to be hauled off on a stretcher, complaining of numbness in his extremities, an ambulance ride and a hospital stay? Why would the MISSOULA medical personnel (unless Weber brought its own ambulance from Ogden, I'm pretty certain they were griz fan paramedics that took the kid to the hospital) be concerned enough to transport the kid, tons of medical staff at St. Pat's concerned enough for CT scan, MRI and overnight observation. But yeah, kid was probably just faking it all. I've seen some griz stick-up-the-ass moments before, but to think this is all some made up, fabricated, over reaction stunt takes the cake. Congrats - you're king of the retard mountain. :stupid:

Why would you assume ANY of that? Never once did I say the KID overreacted. Never once said anything was fabricated. Please show where I said that. Never once did I say he faked anything. Ya'll need some serious reading comprehension. I've watched enough football over the past 35 years to know that the actions taken on the field by medical personnel were/are precautionary 99.9% of the time. The over reaction was by the people on THIS board and on egriz after the fact, where you'd think the kid had a broken neck and was going to be paralyzed for life.

Jesus. You guys get sand in your vaginas pretty easy. :? :? :? :? :?

The REAL concern should be for the skydiver, who'll probably NEVER recover fully from the massive injuries he sustained in the accident before the game.

Yes he was. McSurdy's shoulder popped him in the chin and his head snapped back pretty hard.

The precautions taken by everyone involved were justified. He could've still have neck/head damage even without a loss of consciousness & they can't let him move his head/neck all around if there's any miniscule chance of that making things worse. It's not like he was going to come back into the game anyway, so why not strap him down & cart him to the hospital?

Again, THAT'S not where the overreaction was. I thought I made that pretty clear in my last post. :coffee:

OK, gotcha.

I found humor in the awkward situation where McSurdy went over to talk to the Weber players and they seemingly told him to go away. That does kinda beg the question of what to do if you're in McSurdy's position. Do you go over & ask if he's OK even though everyone on the opposing team is in "hate the Griz" mode? Do you call him/the hospital after the game? Or is the best option just to do nothing & go on since you did nothing wrong & the injured guy probably doesn't want to talk to you anyway (that's probably what I'd do)?

Fuck WEBER, its fans, and its players. That is one fan base that I will never, EVER, buy a beer for. I would rather go for a road trip, on my dollar, with Lakes and JBB than spend 5 minutes with one WEBER-ITE.

I've seen guys get hurt lots of times, and the guy who put the hurt on has gone over to see if he's ok (especially when it looks serious)....NEVER have I seen a team react like Weber's did. Perhaps it had something to do with the ass-kicking that was being administered at that point....and McSurdy's hit was just indicative of that ass kicking. Who knows...

Maybe Weber thought it was a helmet-to-helmet hit. Maybe they thought it was late or against a defenseless receiver. I did not see the play. I'm just saying the players might have thought it was a "dirty" or "cheap", regardless of whether it was or not, and this hit sent of their teammates to a hospital.

If you want a locked thread, there are other sites that do that.

Well, as it turns out he had a spinal contusion and a concussion, so I believe I will, thank you very much. :thumb:

He doesnt care, look what he said on the hoops forum
I hope every single WSU fan/alum/player all die tonight. It would make for a much nicer board. JBB/OPIE/LAKES When those three are in full effect are much nicer than one WSU loser. Hope they die tonight. Nothing but suckers.

The game happens pretty fast and if the hit happened as you explained, no question the Weber players thought the Griz player was going for his head (shoulder hit his chin and his head snapped back). The Griz player needed to realize that, right or wrong, he was going to be a marked man for awhile. I would have advised the player to wait until at least after the game and express his concerns to the Weber coaching staff and not even bother with the Weber players.

Xavian Johnson update......Everything is A-ok :thumb:

http://www.standard.net/stories/2011/11 ... right-ship

* WSU NOTES: Wide receiver Xavian Johnson could return to the Wildcats sooner than expected. Doctors who examined Johnson on his return to Ogden have said his neurological assessment is completely normal, Weber State team trainer Joel Bass said Wednesday.

Johnson was hospitalized for two days in Missoula after a hard hit during Weber State's loss to Montana.

Bass said doctors in Ogden believe Johnson suffered a shock of the spinal cord, rather than a contusion of the spinal cord as previously believed.

Johnson also received a concussion and muscle strains in his neck on the play and had lost feeling in his legs for a time.

"He has full strength and sensation in his upper and lower extremities," Bass said. "The doctors in Ogden feel like if he can run pain-free and feels comfortable about playing, they don't see a reason why he won't be able to play" as soon as he is symptom-free from the concussion and has full strength in his neck.

Johnson will not play Saturday against Montana State but could be available again this season.
