If UND changes their name, how about the racists in the Fargodome that wear shirts that say Sioux Suck, and then yell out Sioux Suck when its NDSU vsXXXX. (Did I mention team XXXX is not UND). They should be kicked out due to violating the NCAA policy because they can't be talking about the Sioux team.

BTW Lakes..go to Ft. Totten and tell the Natives that wear the Sioux logo proud that they are racists to their face. Lets just say you will be typing away from a hospital.

Meh, EWU is only 15 minutes from Spokane International, which services just about every major city in the Pacific/Mountain Time zones.

I think UND's location is sort of a legitimate concern for the Cali schools + probably PSU and EWU, but probably not as big of a deal as some make it out to be.

I’d have no qualms over their addition if there was another member added to allow divisions (thus reducing travel costs). God knows what the Sac State AD will have to cut to make up for the added travel until that happens.

Assuming every Big Sky President voted on UND's inclusion, I am wondering how Sac State, PSU, EWU, and NAU voted....

What I don't understand is why the Chippewa of Turtle Mountain get a vote. In other states, only those of the tribe in question got a vote in it. The Chippewa are not related to Sioux, they are closer to the Cherokee, both descending from the Mississippian culture.

I believe that it is in UND's interest to put it behind them and move on. That would end everything in a hurry. The NCAA has exempted the symbols embedded that would be cost prohibited to replace. While the rest would be a little expensive for the school, it would probably be worth.

I still think UND should become the Buffalo Hunters. But, I imagine an animal will be used.
