yes... or no... no one knows. the winner of this game is definitely a better team that last year's Coastal Carolina team... So I'll say the Big South has a chance to win a game in the FCS playoffs...

If Stony Brook had a better home game advantage, I'd be putting money on them. Perhaps the BS championship possibility will make it a better situation. I don't think Liberty will be intimidated at SB. Should be a really good game.

Stonybrook hasn't scored LESS than 40 since September 24th (and that day they scored 37).

Lets see here:

Liberty had VMI AT home, beat them by 6. SB went TO VMI, beat them by 28.
Liberty had Presbyterian at home, and needed OT to beat them 27-20. SB took Presby to the woodshed, 42-24.
Liberty gave up 27 to Coastal Carolina...SB tossed a shutout against them.
Liberty managed 35 against Gardner-Webb...SB put up 76 against them.

Need I go on?

It's not about "hating" Liberty. It's about being objective. Stony Brook, AT HOME, should be able to handle Liberty.

Good, I'm glad SB can put 40+ against PC, St Anselm (who?), VMI, CCU, CSU, GW. Great. Congrats. SB won't score 40 (in regulation) on Saturday. You can take that to the bank.And comparing scores doesn't tell the whole story. The VMI and PC games for LU were kind of like who cares, get the W and move on.
The CCU game was 42-7 at halftime (42-0 with a minute left in the half), and the 2nd half we rotated a lot of 2nd/3rd teamers on D. And SB tossing a shutout against them was primarily due to the fact that the game was played in nor'easter. The Beach Chickens don't like that type of weather.
The GW game was 14-0 before GW ran an offensive play. It was 21-0 early in the 2nd quarter. The last 2 1/2 quarters we were on cruise control.

I will always wonder what would have happened if that ref had not have taken the ball away from LU only down 7 . yes sb played a cleaner game and made no mistakes but even with those mistakes we still had a chance if the ref didn't blow that one. Az I'm still here to take my lumps.

Incidentally I hope NFL scouts get a good look at Chris Summers performance today. Wow.

After seeing both LU and SBU roll through Charleston this year, I totally think the better team won this game today.

Congrats SB. This was an exciting game which had both teams fans on the edge of their seat throughout. SB didn't have any mistakes while LU did. That's the difference in the game. Too bad there's no replay in FCS as the refs took an exciting finish away from this game. I still think SB would have won but it would have been a more thrilling finish.
