Truth (remember that...) is Jon, I don't think you have the guts to read this stuff...because you know most of it IS ACCURATE!

Since your eyesite is apparently failing, I reiterate...some of the sourcing is directly from recorded television interviews (namely, 60 minutes and Ted Koppel...not exactly what could be called "conservative" biased sources)...all of the information, especially his links to the drug cartels is easily verified. Interestingly, the more you dig, the more damning the evidence becomes. Soros has never been too secretive about his associations. His background and rearing is also easily verified, as his biographical sourcing has been footnoted in these articles. I've seen the interviews cited in the articles, and my personal favorite was when Koppel cornered him on his role in the '97 attack on the Malaysia market, in which Koppel asked if he was "apolitical and amoral", and Soros looked him square in the eye and responded "That's exactly right". Despite his involvement with politics, his goal is not to effect governmental or social change for the betterment of people, but rather, to weaken the governmental and social fabrics facilitating defenseless prey for his predatory economic schemes. Because, in the end, George Soros unquestionably holds a feudalistic view of the world consisting of the haves and have nots (hence his like-minded affiliations with Britain's old-money economic overlords). And just as when he, as a 14 year old Hungarian Jew, was taken under the wing of a sympathetic Nazi who trained and utiliized him to assist in taking property from the Jews being sent to the death camps, Soros' ultimate goals in this world are simple: "If not me, then somebody else will do it."

I think it's a great idea for South Carolina to pass the resolution. The federal government should start negotiations immediately to reduce the amount of federal tax that South Carolina residents pay to the proportion of federal services they receive based on what is proscribed by the Constitution.

All other federal assistance should immediately be pulled, including highway money for road's other than interstates. Other US Highways within the state should become state highways and maintained exclusively with state funds. Military bases currently in South Carolina should be closed as soon as practical and moved to states more willing to bear the yoke of federal oppression.

I found this, now if I can just determine what is meant by federal tax dollar received and federal tax dollar spent and a break down thereof.

Very curious to see if it is total tax dollars paid (SS, Medicare, income taxes etc) and to see what the federal spending was on (roads, bridges versus, federally mandated expenditures such as EIC, social security)


Also, one other interesting point, this is not actual dollars spent on the state. there is an allocation for budget deficits to the states ( I would imagine for each state) whether the money was received by the states or not. An implicit obligation of the states to pay it back.

I think it's a great idea for South Carolina to pass the resolution. True, but i'm not sure if that is the intent of the bill. As it stands right now, the largest employer in Charleston is SPAWAR, and the only port owned by the DoD(which makes shipping millions of $$$ cheaper) brings in so much money that to piss off these people would be a bad move. Personally, between SPAWAR, BMW, Nucor, Westvaco, etc... this state would rapidly decline into bedlam. If SPAWAR left, you'd see me moving to D.C. or San Diego as soon as possible.

First, while we all know how undertaxed the rich are we also know that about 10% of the people pay 50% of the taxes What that says is that really big money people (who earn incomes instead of grow assets) pay most of the taxes. I doubt South Carolina has a very high percentage of those. We also know that most federal dollars that go to the states are to fund federally required entitlement programs. I would imagine that SC has more than its fair share of retirees receiving social security and, unfortunately, people receiving food stamps etc. I suppose that you can blame South Carolina for its poorer citizens but if the programs are federally mandated is it really fair to look at the subject along the lines that Jon stated. I have to think about that some more.


Also, if the federal dollars include military pensions I believe that SC has one of the highest percentages of retired military in the country. Also, we have some significant military bases compared to our population size. Add on top of that, something I know absolutely nothing about but I am would be surprised if it doesn't get significant dollars and that is the Savannah Nuclear Plant. hell I don't even know what it does
