I agree. But I don't think LSU has to worry. I think the only way they are out is if they finish 0-2. Alabama has to beat Auburn and then hope that they don't get leapfrogged by a 12-1 team that won a conference championship game.DSUrocks07 wrote:I think that the biggest gripe is that LSU basically has to "earn" the right to play Alabama for the BCS title when it should be the other way around.

So what about Houston? I think if they win in the CUSA championship, they should go to a BCS bowl. They've won like 7 or 8 games by 30 points +.
And Arkansas up 14-0 in the second

they win the CUSA title they'll play in the Sugar Bowl. You figure Case Keenum and only being about 6 hours from N.O. will help sell tickets.youngterrier wrote:So what about Houston? Re: This is why the BCS is a joke....
The way I figure, the BCS will shakeup this way
SEC-gets 2 in
ACC-if Virginia Tech wins (especially if Clemson loses to SC this week), the ACC gets only 1 in
The Pac 12 will probably get 2 in if Oregon wins the title and Stanford goes 11-1
The Big 10 may only get 1 in, the champion as everyone else will have 2 losses at least,
The Big Easy will only get 1 team
The Big 12 should get 2 in, but if Oklahoma State beats Oklahoma I wouldn't be surprised if they were stuck with only 1
So that leaves 8 teams for sure. It will come down to Oklahoma/OK State, Kansas State, Virginia Tech if they don't win the ACC, Michigan (assuming they beat OSU), Michigan State/Wisconsin/Penn State, and Houston to fill the last 2 spots.
Assuming OK State beats Oklahoma, Virginia Tech wins the ACC, Michigan beats OSU, I think Houston gets in for sure over 3 loss Oklahoma, Michigan State/Wisconsin/Penn State. That would leave Houston, Kansas State, Boise State and Michigan to fill those last 2 spots. I think Houston would have the upper hand in that scenario to get at least one of the 2 spots. Boise would get left out

Which is why the BCS is such a joke. A 12-1 Boise team is definitely a top 10 team and deserves one of the BCS bowl spots. The Big East shouldn't have any teams in and the ACC should only get 1 if Virginia Tech wins out, otherwise the ACC should get 0 in.youngterrier wrote:The way I figure, the BCS will shakeup this way

Re: This is why the BCS is a joke....
Well, LSU looked good today. One thing I wondered about...and I know others did too...is what would happen if LSU found itself behind by a pretty good margin. I guess they handled it OK today.
Having Jefferson back at QB does help them. His running ability does make their offense a lot more effective.

Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Too be honest, even if LSU had lost today I think they would have been playing for the National Championship no matter what.
