They should be good next year when everyone is healthy.
Unless they find new LBs and a new O-line, the team isn't going anywhere.

And a new coach. Reid is too pass happy. He's a good coach, but it's time for him to go.

He's moved into Chuck Knox and Marty Schottenheimer territory. Great resume, no ring.

He's done there. Put a fork in him.

Maybe they can get Joe Girardi to coach them.

They've achieved a whole new level of suckage this year. The fans haven't been this riled up since the Joe Kuharich days.

Nah, the fans were much more irate at the end of the Richie Kotitie era - now that was a groundswell of animosity. And the Joe Conklin Kotitie-themed Christmas songs were awesome ("It's Beginning to look like Unemployment", "Penalty Flags, Penalty Flags, Penalties all the Way!"). This is tame compared to that. And what only made it funnier was the Jets hiring Kotite after that disaster and then being shocked when they went 1-15 and having to say that yup, Philly fans had him pegged right. Beautiful.

So ESPN has this playoff predictor where you can pick the rest of the games based on win %, power rankings, offense, defense... damn Eagles are still in the hunt in their model if you pick offense. Of course that's probably with Vick at the helm. :|

You're too young to remember Kuharich, probably. "Joe must go" week after week. Although Kotite was the worst of the Vet Stadium era, I'll grant you that.

When you're up against the Giants (soon to be four game skid), the Cowboys, and the Redskins, there's no need to write off a team until it's mathematically eliminated.

The NFC East is a putrid division right now.

Unfortunately, there's almost no way for them to win the division because Dallas (3 games up) and Giants (2 games up) play each other twice. Cowboys also have Cards and Bucs (do you really see them losing either?). Giants would need to win both against Dallas and lose two of three to GB, Washington and Jets. The second part of that is easier than the first.

Eagles still have one against Dallas and they could conceivably lose two more games besides just the Eagles. Eagles are still mathematically and, thanks to the awfulness of the NFC East, realistically alive. However, the Eagles still need to play games outside of the NFC East so I wouldn't bet on them even winning at Seattle this week (although the Eagles are much better on the road than at home these days).

The only thing the Eagles have in their favor is that they are 3-1 in the division. If they win out and finish 9-7 they will also finish 5-1 in the division and will win a tie breaker against both New York and Dallas.

I don't think it matters, I think Dallas gets to 10 wins and I don't think the Eagles win out. But there is still a pulse.

I went on philly.com to read some of the halftime chat comments:
I told my wife I thought I saw Jamar Chaney make a tackle and she cut me off for the night.
Is McNabb still available?

Flawed... if u set it to total defense the Patriots go 0-5 with losses to Miami, Denver, Buffalo, Washington and Indy... and miss the playoffs at 8-8

New England is favored over Indy by 21 points even with their 32nd ranked defense and likely will have double digit spreads against most of the remaining opponents.

Only 6 teams with worse records left beneath the Eagles, maybe Barkley will come out & we'd have a shot...

With road games left against an improving Dolphins team and Dallas, and home games against the Jets and Washington, I'd say that 5-11 is more likely (beating Washington at home) and 4-12 ain't out of the question.
