Urban Meyer accepts Ohio State head coaching offer

Post by ODUalum11 »

Main reason why I became a Florida fan is because of Urban Meyer, he's a terrific coach that should have the Buckeyes back to where they were and that was dominating the Big 10 and Michigan. This definitely stings Gators fans.

Glad to see the Maize & Blue run roughshod throug OSU's "defense" on Saturday, despite the officials best shot at making it interesting in the last 2 minutes after that replay fiasco.

Agree, it was nice to see Michigan FINALLY win a game against their most-hated rival. It wasn't much of a rivalry recently with the way OSU was dominating.

Michigan is just damn lucky Miller couldn't hit open receivers to save his life.

Hope he enjoys the bowl bans and scholarship reductions (since they'll be to cowardly to give them the tv ban they deserve)

Not for $40 million he won't.

He'll win 9 or 10 games next season, and be in the National Championship again within 3 years guaranteed. Ohio State gets top recruits without a good coach, now with him there it will be the same as he did with Florida.

Tress wasn't a good coach?

Funny how you said they'd be in the national championship game but not win a national championship. I guess even you delusional Suckeye fans know you can't beat the SEC.

how long does the bowl ban last for them when the ban hammer comes down?

going to hurt recruiting if it's more than a year or two

And where the fuck did I say Tressell wasn't a good coach? He was an amazing coach but he cheated.

Creepy Valley baby rapers. I guess I should expect no better from OSU trash. By the way, do you know what a buckstache is? Google it.

I think that game Saturday night stings worse  How do you lose to a team with less than 100 yards offense? Ol Urb left the Gators high and dry, especailly Matt Elam.

I was at the OSU vs Penn State game this year...so don't even get me started. Your fans are fucking horrible at games. I didn't think anyone could get worse than Montana State fans but they don't even compare.

A group of 10-12 guys had "Sandusky Supporters" shirts on. That alone should have kept them from being allowed into the stadium. When the OSU seniors were being announced before the game, your "fans" started your retarded We Are Penn State cheer (which isn't even original), again inappropriate timing. Saw at least a dozen giving the OSU band the finger while the Script Ohio was being performed. The only decent PSU fans I saw were the 3 sitting in front of me, because they were heavily surrounded and didn't say a word.

So don't give me the OSU trash. At least our coach wasn't poking little boys and having the others cover it up. :tothehand:

He cheated....kept ineligible players eligible and used that to get his top rated recruits.

Apparently Urban got enough family time over the course of the year.

You talk like OSU should have blown Michigan out....that game should have been over in the 4th if not for the refs deciding they hadn't called enough penalties on Michigan taking a TD off the board with 40 yards of penalties....and overturning a call that didn't have indisputable evidence.

Face it, Brake brought the team that couldn't win shit with Rich Rod into a 10 win team...with a top 5 class coming in next year...and better talent after that.

Urban better hope there isn't shit given to OSU for penalties.

Meyer can do whatever he wants. Just because he stepped away for a year didn't mean he'd never coach again. He said at Florida that OSU was his dream job. He's an Ohio boy, of course he'd wanna coach there.

And your penalties stats are fucked...

Penalties: Number-Yards OSU 5-47 UM 3-29

25 of those yards came on one play taking a sealing TD off the board....the second of those penalties was a giant crock of shit....And that was a play after they took a TD off the board without enough evidence to do so.

Michigan went 10-2 with the same team that went 7-6 the year before, and 5-7 the year before that.....

OSU doesn't even know if they'll be bowl eligible or how many scholarships they'll have for the next couple years.

I wonder if Urban realizes Tim Tebow isn't walking thru the door in Columbus. Michigan will dominate the Big 10 starting next year. If you don't have Hokemania yet, get on board while there is room on the bandwagon. It all starts next year on 9/1 when Michigan takes down Bama in Dallas.

Of course it's his dream job. According to Yahoo!, former OSU coach Earle Bruce gave Meyer his first coaching job.

That said, I was hoping he'd sign on as OC for the Whiners or the Broncos.

Pretty interesting read about Meyer. He hits a few bumps in the road and bails.

That should be a great game.

The offseason is too long, they should have a spring football season and a fall football season. Every semester should have it's own season.

The athletic department was just as guilty and did nothing to punish him until they figured the NCAA was going too and then they went with the path of least resistance.

Of course he realizes, because Braxton Miller is better than Tebow. :coffee:
