All the Ivy League needs to become relevant again is to diversify its OOC schedule.

I'd say SW.
I'd LIKE to say Liberty, but Penn State is just too good.
I hate to say it, but JaBBer's crew also has a good shot, but SW's is better.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Re: 2011 Division I Women's Volleyball Championship
You forgot the number 6 seeded Northern Iowa Panthers
My money is on them...only 1 loss this year and that was to Minnesota on September 10th.
UNI has played 13 matches against teams in the field of 16...won 12 of them.

UNI should be able to beat Niagara in the first round, could beat Florida in the second round, but it'll be a tough matchbonarae wrote:FCS Teams Represented:

San Diego, Dayton, UNI and Delaware might win their first round matches. None of them will reach the third round.

Well my joy has officially ended thanks to Nebraska ending the dream season of the Lady Tigers of JSU.bonarae wrote:FCS Teams Represented:

Re: 2011 Division I Women's Volleyball Championship
My joy is ALSO gone as #8 Penn State beat Liberty 3-0 (16, 16, 16).
Saw it coming, but that doesn't make it hurt any less.

EDIT: Penn St. faces Delaware (3-1 winners over American) next. I hope the Hens kick the snot out of the Nittany Lions, but I don't see it happening.

I watched both matches. Liberty is a lot better than Delaware. I'm not sure how Delaware managed to qualify for the tournament. Their conference must be very weak.SuperHornet wrote:My joy is ALSO gone as #8 Penn State beat Liberty 3-0 (16, 16, 16).

I bet ESPN would have crapped their collective pants had there been an all-L.A. final.
