Re: Game of the week - Round of 16
I'll be watching Wofford/UNI only because Montana (if/when we win) will be playing the winner of that game next week. But the REAL scores I'll be interested in are 1) SBU/SHSU, to see if SBU can expose SHSU as a pretender and 2) Lehigh/Towson, to see if Towson can crack the 50 point mark against that Division III school.

I'll go with Maine @ App because the teams are so closely matched with almost identical stats, both from power conferences, both ranked in the top 12, and because I'm a homer and want to see more App football after this weekend.

I picked UNH at MSU. UNH is 6-1 in the first round of the playoffs the last 7 years (holy hellfire, is this really their 8th consecutive year?) They are also 3-1 vs teams in the playoffs this year (MSU is 0-1). 6 of their 8 wins were by one score or less. Everything pointsto a close game IMO and I'm liking UNH's chances the more I look at this game.

Stony Brook vs SHS for obvious reasons... I don't want such a memorable season full of "firsts" to end yet

I think Montana St. and UNH is a really interesting match up and will hopefully turn out to be a great one.
I went with Wofford-UNI because it's been the only thing on my mind (besides UNI basketball) this week. IS IT FRIGGIN' SATURDAY YET???

Re: Game of the week - Round of 16
I begrudgingly picked Wofford vs. UNI as well.
I am most excited about the ASU vs. Maine game obviously but from an objective view, that is probably the most intriguing match-up. UNI has looked good all season and Wofford seemed to be in the hunt for a seed until a couple of stinkers against Furman and GSU. That option offense indoors is going to be fast and since UNI has not seen an option team yet, it could be tough match-up.

No one has said it in the thread but it's getting love in the voting, but I'm going with ODU-GSU.

Probably would have been my second choice, also a very nice matchup.DJnVa wrote:No one has said it in the thread but it's getting love in the voting, but I'm going with ODU-GSU.

Not to be a homer, but that's why I picked that one. I agree with 89 on the MSU/UNH game as well so that would have been my 2nd choice. Towson/Lehigh is an interesting matchup as well.ASU Mike wrote:I begrudgingly picked Wofford vs. UNI as well.

I agree, BTW.
