Never been to Missoula or Wa-Griz but would really want to come see a game sometime. I hope I don't have to wait until 2015 when NDSU is scheduled to make the trip.Willie wrote:Been to plenty Buffalo games. The Fargodome is the toughest place to play in the FCS according to JMU's coach so we must doing something right.

18.200 reported for ndsu
however 400 were for JMU fans that didnt get sold and 400_ for students that didnt get sold
therefore 17,432 apparently fargodome refused to sell the front row JMU tickets in sect 16, they must've thought there'd be a big JMU walk up sale,,,, hahaha..

I love how you say "Montana supposedly had..." and in the same breath lie about NDSU's attendance. Well played, sir...well played!

22,005 was the number of tickets sold. What makes you think you have a better number? I sit on the 30 in the upper deck and there was no one to my left - only empty seats. Looking across to the West side, there were numerous empty seats. 22,000 is the average for the last 3 first week December games.Silenoz wrote:You're supposedly an idiotJBB wrote:NDSU had 18,020, 95% of capacity. Wa-Griz was pretty full (I'd guess 23,500-24,000), other than parts of the upper deck. 5 minutes before kickoff it looked way more empty, like sub-20,000 empty.

Appalachian home attendance was down 10% overall this year, but the playoff game was up from 13,322 last year in comparison, and roughly the same for the third round game last year against Villanova (15,706).

That's just a guess that I (some guy) have. I didn't say it was better. 24,000 would still equal somewhere in the neighborhood of 2,000 empty seatskemajic wrote:22,005 was the number of tickets sold. I'm assuming teams still under report in order to pocket some of the money to cover costs. Or did something change during our one year playoff absence and I didn't notice?

How could you under report to the NCAA? The NCAA is worse than the Mafia when it comes to money.Silenoz wrote:That's just a guess that I (some guy) have. No. I just don't think any school would dare to under report a game to the NCAA, especially not Montana with O'Day sitting as the head of the committee. That wouldn't look so good.Silenoz wrote:Are you guys just messing with me or...
Are you saying the Griz comp tickets and thus don't go reported to the NCAA since there wasn't any revenue associated with them? So the Griz could have 24K in the stands, but really only sold 22,005 tickets because the other 2K were given for free? I could believe that.

Re: Attendance for 12.03 games
NDSU wouldn't have had 18,000 show up if the game was outdoors. The first playoff game in Montana is always the least attended of the season. I suppose the weather has a little bit to do with it.JBB wrote:NDSU had 18,020, 95% of capacity. Montana supposedly had 22,000 or so, 84% of capacity. The BIG GAMES are in Fargo!!!

The way we sold our first round tickets was:chris wrote:as of 1:30 pm today over 11,000 already sold for Griz vs UNI
- You place an order for the first round game and you are automatically on the hook for those same tickets for the subsequent home games, if played.
Do you guys do separate sales each week?
Re: Attendance for 12.03 games
Season ticket holders can choose to automatically buy all potential playoff games ahead of time or they have till Tuesday evening of each week to buy that weeks tickets. If they don't by tuesday evening, their season tickets are released to the general public.CAA Flagship wrote:The way we sold our first round tickets was:chris wrote:as of 1:30 pm today over 11,000 already sold for Griz vs UNI

Well thankfully this is the last season that playing surface will be in the dome. I think UND and USD are also getting new turf so nobody will have that old crap anymore.CAA Flagship wrote:FIFYFargoBison wrote:The Fargodome has the worst playing surface in the FCS so we must be spending money on something else.
