I agree. Eastern would have been in the playoffs in any other conference. The MVFC is usually so traditionally good,that it seems ridiculous they are on the level of the Southland now. What I find funny is that SHSU gets so much flack for an overrated record (Which they should, the southland sucks....again) And now we find out NDSU is probably even worse! Awesome.

I really like how you just throw away Sam before we play the game, but thats ok crown the big sky as the king of all the FCS. Pathetic play the game in front of you. That's while MAU will lose they will see to the UM game and not the SHSU game. But it's ok if y'all come back to Texas don't forget to be in shape, man that puke was bad last time.

MSU will beat you. Count on it. And if for some reason, MSU has an incredible down game, you will get beat by at least 35 at home. I know how it is, the Griz have been way overrated when the BSC was down a year or two, but unlike the Southland, the BSC deserves their auto bid. Bring it.

I agree on the SHSU win, The MVFC seems super weak. I bet you Weber dudes wish you were in the MVFC so you could have won the conference title and gotten the two seed. The Big Sky is the best conference in the country, and outside of being in the same conference as MSU and UM you (and PSU) probably could have won any conference in the country outside of maybe the Southern.

Man one big win vs the MVFC and you guys are talking sh!t like a chimp in a beat-off contest. Don't go talking like your sisters can beat up on everyone just because you can! Who knows you might find out that they will be ones on their backs taking it from the others.

I think this was the first game of the year where a BSC team played a MVFC team. Hard to say who is outright better based off of one game. The top BSC team whipped the second best MVFC team this much we know!

But for you BSC dreamers who think the whole conference would trash any other conference look at this.
Since BSC and MVFC did not play each other lets look at the Great West where some of those teams will be going to the BSC and MVFC.

Might be, I thought that the reason UNI and NDSU were both lucky to beat 4-7 SIU was league parity - I didn't realize the parity was them not being much better than SIU rather than SIU being a whisker away from the top level.......

Ok, to put some sobriety into this thread, the four power conferences will of course be up and down from year to year but are all very comparable from top to bottom. Over the last decade, the MVFC has probably taken too much flack for no Championships, and the BSC has for being a one trick pony. But there are frequent examples of every conference having the talent level even in their #2's to pull off upsets. NDSU/MSU Nova/ASU last year, Wofford against the Griz a few years back, and EWU at McNeese and SIU. That being said, home field advantage, especially at places like WGS is obviuosly a huge advantage.

I know you're smacking but I watched that game on TV. NDSU should've won by more. They dominated both lines of scrimmage. Montana was very impressive last night but if you do get to the title game and NDSU is there I wouldn't be counting my chickens if I were you. NDSU is a completely different style of team than UNI. Much more physical. At least that's what I think based on watching them play each other.They' don't try to finese you in the running game like UNI does. They smash mouth you. And they've got the players to be good at it. They line up with the quarterback under center and a full back in the backfield. Sometimes TWO full backs. Old school. Montana's defense being good against UNI doesn't necessarily mean it'll be good against NDSU because it's a completely different thing.

But maybe we'll see.If they do play, it won't be in Missoula. It'll be in Texas.

But Montana WAS very impressive last night. I didn't realize the Griz had that kind of ability at the QB position.

UNI was a poor representative for the MVFC. They were not that competitive this year and won a lot of games under strange circumstances and by the thinnest of margins. These are not the things that bode well for a programs future, especially a program like UNI that is in decline.

The future of the MVFC is Illinois State, Indiana State, NDSU and YSU.

The BSC and Montana got an easy draw with UNI. In fact the BSC has had an easy time of it so far.

Its tough to compare an entire conference by one game because there were several more worthy opponents for Montana in the MVFC that didnt make it to the playoffs and The NDSU BISON are still roaming the plains and will certainly defeat Montana again if the Grizz last that long.

Big Sky is consistently in the top three. MVFC is usually in the top three as well.

There are a handful of great programs and a large number of good programs in the BSC, Colonial, SOCON and MVFC.

You thought wrong, UNI is every bit as physical as NDSU. I didn't see that game but I've seen them both live a few times now and the drumbeat about NDSU being so much more physical than everybody else is myth and nonsense. Are they a physical team? Yes. More physical than the rest of the MVC? No. Most physical team in the MVC? Not this year.

The CAA was 20-2 in OOC games this year.The CAA also had a record nine teams ranked in the top 25 at one time.
