I'll never be an MSU fan but it sure gets old watching them pee down their legs in the playoffs.

That's because everybody here assumes any SLC team that does good is because they are in the SLC. (and nobody watches SLC games)∞∞∞ wrote:At least to me, the result so far is a bit surprising. I think I severely underestimated the 'Kats this season.
I'd like to see SAM go to the semis. If they don't I will assure you they will be back. They only have 5 seniors that start, out of 8 seniors on the team.
2 Deep
seniors 5
juniors 17
sophomores 17
freshman 5

Neither team looks impressive today to me. MSU has suffered from some serious defensive breakdowns, 2-3 times in the redzone with no points.
I like UM's chances against Sam.

Montana St. is going to get whipped if they don't wake up in the 2nd half.

Well I'll man up and say I was wrong about Sam Houston State. I had them ranked 8 of 8 out of the teams left with Montana State just above them at the start of the week. I also thought the UNI and Montana game would be close. It sucks not being right all the time lol

Re: Montana St. @ Sam Houston - Game Thread
Bobcats clearly not ready to play. McGhee looks terrible, poor decision making and seems to not be on the same page as his receivers. Need to make big adjustments at the half. Can't afford these mistakes playing #1 on the road. Sam looking good, on the other hand, looking to make a big statement. I'd say the game will be probably be decided on the first two possessions in the second half. If Sam keeps up the pressure and the Bobcats can't get anything done, the Griz better start making plans for Texas. Bobcats better come out strong, otherwise the game is over.

Stony Brook was underrated...
SHS is a good team. SO far, Stony Brook played wayyyyy better than MSU. MSU sucks right now...
I'm telling you... SHS is a great team. People in these forums are way to biased and take conference affiliations wayy to seriously...
If a team is not from the CAA, SoCon, or Big Sky then they don't deserve #1... FU*K THAT!

Agreed, but replace MSU with UM and playoffs with Championship Game, and you would also be correct.DuckDuckGriz wrote:I'll never be an MSU fan but it sure gets old watching them pee down their legs in the playoffs.

They need to pick up or beat the blitz. Sam's calling a very aggressive game right now.JALMOND wrote:Bobcats clearly not ready to play. MSU finally starts showing some life. Now if their defense can start playing better.

So one can assume, then, that Montana won; not because they have talent/are good but because UNI was having a really bad day.FWJack wrote:Vidav wrote:

If SHSU wins, then they will have gone a long way to bringing back respectability to the Southland. As many have stated, the Southland recently has had a really tough time in the playoffs.SeawolvesFan90 wrote:Stony Brook was underrated...

I don't understand how it is confusing. The TDs for SAM have come due to MSU players failing to tackle when they had a chance. MSU IS playing poorly.CatMom wrote:So one can assume, then, that Montana won; not because they have talent/are good but because UNI was having a really bad day.FWJack wrote:

Sam's kickoff return for a TD...great response for the Bearkats. No momentum for MSU.

I just think SHS is playing great. The way a #1 team should dominate. I agree with CatMon. SHS is a great team. I'm already looking forward to the SHS vs Montana game. That will be a game to watch!Vidav wrote:I don't understand how it is confusing. The TDs for SAM have come due to MSU players failing to tackle when they had a chance. Backbreaker INT. I'd say game right there.

SHSU is playing well but MSU is playing like shit. That obviously helps SHSU.SeawolvesFan90 wrote:I just think SHS is playing great. The way a #1 team should dominate. I agree with CatMon. And yes, Montana was helped by poor play from UNI.

The MSU qb is terrible. How did this team get so highly rated? They are really not very good.

I thought McGhee was black Jesus? Sure not playing too well in his return to his home state, unlike another certain QB did in the playoffs last year...

Re: Montana St. @ Sam Houston - Game Thread
SHSU is proving they are a good team... they played a weak schedule in a weak conference... and as such were viewed with suspicion, despite their record (and rightly so)
they battled back against a game Stony Brook team - and have really opened it up on the Bobcats - as if to prove a point.
Yes, MSU looks decidedly off their game as well - but a good team takes advantage of that... and SHSU is doing so.
If this holds - their game with Montana ought to be excellent - I don't see the Griz giving them some of the opportunities the Cats have today - but we'll have two deserving semi-finalists...

What an embarrassment. Guess we'll have a chance to prove ourselves on the road.
