Could say the exact same thing about the Griz.
Yes, but the Griz improved a lot. The Bobcats really didn't.
It's hard to believe that, just 3+ weeks ago, there were still many reasons to think it was going to be "The Year of the Bobcats."
Yeah, that was my point. I think many Griz fans would have been happy with 8-3 and a 2nd place finish to the cats at various points this season. It's interesting how it all plays out.
That was an absolute lesson in football
SHSU DL overwhelmed the 'Cats OL all game long, and no game plan adjustment at halftime - no way we were going to be able to run between the tackles without some misdirection to relieve the pressure - and when we passed - there was pressure from the front 4, allowing SHSU to drop 5-7 into coverage all day long - and when McGhee is pressured - didn't matter when the receivers ot behind the defense - not enough time to be accurate.
on the flip side - how can you watch a team run the same offensive play all day long and act like you've never seen it - other than we were overmatched on the trenches here as well.
We have got to get better on both the OL and DL (in my non-prefessional and likely not very well thought out opinion!) in order to compete late in the season.

No smack, but I thought it might have just been a rough day when they struggled for most of the game vs Northern Colorado, but now it seems like that is just where the team was at. It wasn't a bad day.
One thing I saw yesterday that really showed that MSU wasn't prepared was that just about every fake hand off yesterday had Mcghee extending the ball out with the RB no where in the vacinity. They weren't fooling anyone.

Gonna start a war here...
Agree with Lehigh1985. Watched some game film early in the season...didn't see a championship team. Think MSU took the early wins for granted.
Well after creating a new talent pipeline coming from Texas they thought they would be a much more talented squad but after yesterday they got a painful introduction to reality.
