The commentators are jumping on the "Greatest NFL Team In NFL History" bandwagon by the week, It looks as if they would only have to win one game against either Chicago or Detroit to nail down homefield throughout and likely they will be playing a warm weather/dome squad at Lambeau for the NFC Title, and I see no sign that they intend on resting starters in preparation for the playoffs or even any talk of such...

Looks to me like it can only be up to their Super Bowl opponent to keep them from becoming the second team to have a perfect season.

IMO, Baltimore looks to be the most likely opponent, followed by Pittsburgh, and Houston not necessarily in that order.

Tebow and the Broncos in the SB, sure would be an attraction but, it ain't likely.

Timmy would get eaten alive by Pittsburgh or Baltimore.

Tebow is not 7-1...the team is. If you think Tebow is the sole reason they've won recently, you are a complete idiot and don't apparently watch the games. If they didn't have a defense, numbnuts would be looking for new employment.

actually the team is 8-5. The team lead by Tebow is a different team than the one lead by Orton. Need I remind you that he's playing with the worst WR corps in the league and no TE? Let's take away Finley, Jennings, Driver, and Nelson and see how well Rodgers does. Haters like you are the reason this is so amusing. The guy simply wins games. :thumb:

But that defense was also part of that 1-4 start. Orton starting they were 1-4, Tebow starting they're 7-1. Of course he isn't the only reason they've won, but he is the main reason. Love him or hate him, Tebow wins.

Rogers would still tear it up with no names filling those spots. But everything else is spot on.

Oh yeah he would win no doubt. I'm just saying he would have a harder time doing it. Switch the WRs and TEs between GB and Denver and Tebow wouldn't look as bad as he does for the first 3 quarters of every game.

They only have to beat KC to lock up home-field advantage. They are 3 up with 3 to go.

After seeing Jennings go down, I pull everyone after beating KC next week and rest them. Your goal is winning the Super Bowl, not going undefeated.

I don't think the take three weeks off strategy has ever worked out in the past has it?

If they were to drop the last three games, while the Saints and 49'ers win out, there would be a three way tie for first, right? Then it gets down to tie breakers, GB has head to head nod over Saints, but in the case of the 49'ers it could come down to conference records as a tie breaker. So, if all that is correct, since San Francisco has lost to the Cowboys, and now the Cards, if the Pack loses to the Lions and Bears, there is still a virtual tie, and the next criteria must be used to determine the tie breaker.

After last year's all out Chicago attempt to put the Packers out of the playoffs when they had their division won, I really doubt Green Bay will sit the stars against the Bears. Can't imagine them going easy on the douche Lions either for that matter.

ESPN announced today that Greg Jennings (WR) will miss 2-3 weeks with a sprained knee. Yes, he's their best option, but fortunately the Packers have an embarrassment of riches at the WR position.

Again, if we beat KC this week, we lock up homefield advantage so it doesn't matter what we do against the Bears and Lions.

The Super Bowl is the goal. You need to prepare for it. The Bears and Lions would be going after Rodgers like none other and there would be no reason for him to be in the game.

If Rodgers and Co. were to play and get hurt, the uproar would be nationwide. We have lost some important pieces already. We can't afford to lose anyone else. We can't pull it off again with a bunch of people injured and out for the season

Well, I know they are discussing this right now among the GM and HC. It's the players that are not going to want to sit out and see their win streak and potential history making season pissed down the leg of the reserves playing in their place.

I think they ought to start the scrubbs this weekend against Kans-ass Shitty, and bring in the starters if necessary to win the game.

Gotta remember, the injury situation at GB a year ago was much worse than it is now, and that was at the beginning of this 19 game run.

You sit this squad for the last two weeks, and I can guarantee you they will lose the last two games, and all their momentum for the playoffs.

One week bye is enough for anybody.

I just don't know if you risk Rodgers and Co. against the Bears and Lions, who will be fighting for their playoffs lives...

I know, but you either go out there and punch these two in the mouth, or sit down and take a beating. The players want to play the game, the grownups want to worry.

And you'd be ok with that if they did go that route and Rodgers gets hurt and is out for the playoffs?

No, but we also wouldn't be OK if Rogers and company sit on the bench, then the 1st playoff game are rusty and can't do anything. I've seen that happen just as often as key players getting hurt because they played when they didn't need to.

I don't have an problems with letting them play either. The coaches and administration don't play the game. IF the players think they can go unbeaten, let them prove it. One injured WR is not going to decide the fate of a team...look at the Super Bowl last year.

Don't think they win if they sit the last couple games. I don't want them to lose their edge for the playoffs.

Yeah, it's hammer down even at the expense of the Super Bowl ring, this is history and history's franchise here, they are destined, yeah.

I have noticed in these hitting/violent/semi-violent sports that is not the aggressor that is most commonly injured in action, it is the recipient of the aggression that goes down. Must not go out to just hold the line or make it to the next game or you end up at central regional hospital with your knee in a cast.

The Pack hates the bears because they STILL SUCK, and they hate the Lions because they stink, and they are dirty, and they eat their own scat. The Packers have an obligation to mop the field with both these miscreant squads, and they will.

I guess I have more faith in the Packers if the sit :-) It's not like we'd be playing NO the first round. We'd get the Cowboys or the Giants or perhaps the Bears or Lions...

Thompson may not play but it's his job to protect the product and the assets...

I get and understand both sides. Just glad I'm not the one making the decision...
