Who are the EWU fans picking in the Jr. Bowl. What a difference a year makes.

What a dumb ass. EWU is a terrible football team that had an incredible, unusual, improbable and many would say bizarre playoff run, once-upon-a-time anyway. Now they serve as a win for the BSC leaders and a competitive game for the middle of the pack and USD.AZGrizFan wrote:Exactly.JBB wrote:Who are the EWU fans picking in the Jr. Bowl. The Sam Houston game is the Jr. bowl lead-in because the story that needs the lead-in is NDSU. Its the BISON. I guess the 48th best stadium in the country will be sitting empty while the 49th hosts one of the biggest games the FCS has ever had. Two of the Nations most legendary, storied and decorated football programs are going head-to-head at the insanely popular Fabulous Fargo Dome, the nations heart of FCS football.
The game has back story: The best option school to ever play the game converts and now is facing what many are saying is the best option team ever at a legendary option school.
The game has drama: Why did NDSU, arguably one of the best option programs ever, drop it? Rumor has it they know the fatal flaw. The option can always be stopped if you have the personnel that are up to the task. The BISON are up to the task.
Just keep in mind what I told you ignorant clowns last summer about the BISON and The New NDSU Dynasty. This is it.peanut gallery wrote:Ask that slow, fat-assed 56bison. Even he can figure out the option.

Re: JR BOWL: Montana @ SAM HOUSTON, any guesses?
I don't know what to think. To me Sam Houston's performance last week was by far the BearKats best performance of the year. I think that was the most impressive game by a Southland Conference team in the playoffs since McNeese State beat what I think was a very good Delaware team 52-18 in the 1995 quarterfinals (Delaware came in 11-1 with its only loss being to Navy). Sam Houston was something else this past Saturday.
But it's still the same team that beat Western Illinois 20-6 and barely got by Stony Brook the previous week.
Then there's Montana. Very impressive against Central Arkansas. I think they dominated Central Arkansas to a much greater extent than Sam Houston State did. I don't think the final score fully reflected the extent of the dominance.
But, in spite of the fact that I forgot about them winning on the road at JMU in a semifinal. they have bee MUCH better at home in the playoffs than they've been on the road.
I'm just going to watch it and see what happens.

Re: JR BOWL: Montana @ SAM HOUSTON, any guesses?
In any case NDSU and its fans need to focus on Georgia Southern. I just don't see anybody stopping that offense. If NDSU does it kudos to its defense. But I think NDSU better be prepared to score a lot of points if it wants to win.
And I'm kind of pulling for NDSU. I kind of like their program.
But I think their defense is going to have its hands really full this Saturday.

Re: JR BOWL: Montana @ SAM HOUSTON, any guesses?
By no means do I think we'll blow Sam out of the water, but it's not like we'll be sending a completely team from the one that did just that to UCA and UNI. Home field advantage is huge, but I think the Griz are playing well enough to overcome Sam's by the tune of 7-10 points.JohnStOnge wrote:I don't know what to think. Last year. And that puts NDSU 5 playoff wins, 2 quarter final appearances, 1 semi-final appearance, 1 Championship appearance, one National Championship, and one * behind us. Best of luck in catching up and if you do, the feeling is sweet cause you too will realize how sweet it is to be as successful as EWU!

I'm going for NDSU despite these posters that some say are trolls from N.Dakota fighting Sioux.
It would be a little funny if NDSU lost on what their Fan base thought was getting screwed by the refs.

I've already incanted a Fette spell on the Prairie Cow's game with The National Champion Eagles, dooming them to lose 31-38 to GSU on a ref call. NDSU is fucked.Bronco wrote:-

Who is this JBB and why is he talking about NDSU? Are they playing in the Division II championship again or something? And why would we care.

Nope...They are a nice lead in to the NAIA Championship game, though

How many years did it take you to get there? 9 playoff wins since 1984, that's pretty good.kalm wrote:Last year.
