Not going for the 3 in the 1st half is looking big right now

Well, there goes SHSU. I said it all season long. Everyone here like to call teams under-rated just because they don't belong to the CAA, BSC, or a top conference. Montana is out. I'm proud to say that Stony Brook played a more competitive game against the number one team on the nation than any other team so far. We led for half of the game, and almost pulled a victory. SHSU deserves the Number 1 ranking as I said countless times. Congrats SHSU

We only lost by 3, you lost by 7. :coffee:

However I will say this. We looked way better than the Bobcats and that is what makes life worth living, being better than the Bobcats. :thumb:

I am now a believer in Sam Houston. Although they didn't really play well in the third quarter and half of the fourth, they pulled it together in the end and won. Good luck to Sam Houston in the Championship game, whether it is against Ga. Southern or NDSU (hopefully NDSU).
Congrats to Montana on a good season...you guys gave it a good run towards the end.

Correction. I meant to say all post-season long...lol... After they earned the Number 1 ranking I totally agreed in that they deserved it while many of you criticized it

He's referring to SHSU's last minute TD in the win over SB.

Take away the pick 6 and you knuckleheads lose by 17, at least.

Griz aint shit, away. UNI woulda matched up better with the Kats. :thumb:

Although I believe both GSU and NDSU may be better teams than Sam, I think tonight showed why there is no better program in the division than Montana. Yes we lost, but if either of your teams gets down by 3 tds, on the road, you are finished. We are the Griz, and you aren't, and I'm proud. Good luck to all, but this Montanan is pulling for GSU.

You are right, they don't. This Griz team wasn't even supposed to finish better than 3rd in the conference. But good programs don't give up either. The Griz are pretty much guaranteed to be contenders next year, and the year after, etc... There are only a handful of programs that can say that. The Bison havn't earned it yet. Go Eagles.

you're definition of a competitive game is out there. SB did play a very good game against Sam but so did Montana but turnovers and being undisciplined at times hurt the Griz. Down by 21 and having a shot at taking the lead in the 4th is a gutsy game by any measure.

No need to see who can piss higher. You only get to look at the final score and both SB and UM get the same consolation prize this year. Good luck in 2012

They played an amazing 1st half, we played a great 2nd. The deficit was just too much with the stupid turnovers.

SHSU will have an advantage over either NDSU or GSU being so close to Frisco...and Flanders.

This loss hurts quite a bit, but I'm pretty shocked and proud of how we clawed back and made it a game.

Gotta gives props to, and eat crow about Sam Houston. I honestly did not think they were for real.

Boy, was I wrong.

So proud of our team. After the Sac State loss, I was bracing for the worst, but they really came back and proved last year was just a fluke.

Really wanted us to win it all this year, like every year, but I'm honestly not too upset about making it this far and losing to such a fantastic team in SHSU.

Good luck in the chipper, bearkats. You earned it! :thumb:

Griz will be back next year. Sorry to disappoint everyone who hoped we were down and out for good. Fuckers. :coffee:
