They are mostly going after Lakes and JBB and it's taken away from football talk on cs.com. I would like to hear their unbiased input a lot more than their response to Lakes and JBB.
Here's my unbiased opinion:
The way NDSU handled a slow option bodes well for the 7th of January. However, SHSU's option is not slow.
Right now I'd put my money on NDSU, however.

NDSU looked much better offensively yesterday, the defense is very solid and the QB has matured quite a bit since last year. SHSU's speed is very impressive and their undersized D line looked very good against both the Montana's. This one is similar to last year's title game with NDSU being the favorite but the Kat's speed and potential for big plays gives them the potential to keep it close or come from behind.
Sadly I had to watch yesterdays game on replay on ESPN3... what a shitty time to be working... luckily - I won't be working on the 7th.
My take on the NC - whoever controls the tempo will win - if the game is played fast, it goes to SHSU... if slow, NDSU.
As a Bison fan... I'm beyond excited... to get here within eight years of moving up... to get here in only our fourth year of eligibility... truly amazing.

Bison win this. Everybody every week has said how their style will dominate NDSU. Guess what? Great Defense and running games win championships. NDSU has both and a damn good QB/WR combo. Not discounting SHSU, I hope they win the damn thing, but they won't. I imagine SHSU is going to pull every trick out of their magic bag. Oh and NDSU will have three weeks to prepare for that SHSU offense, not 1. Unfortunately we will be seeing that stupid prairie cow logo on top of this page for a year.
I suppose if someone wanted to do some comparisons these would be a good start.
SHSU v WIU 20-6 (Beginning of the season at SHSU)
NDSU v WIU 37-21 (End of the season at WIU)

In general, yes. But then there's EWU, the Green Bay Packers, and the New England Patriots. Just sayin'.

That's fair...but in favor of me: Baltimore, Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh....just sayin' Not to mention the awesome Denver Defense currently that gets very little credit over Tim "One Drive A Game" Tebow. I am not a Denver fan by any means for the record, but their defense and run game are solid.

This is pretty much the same team that went 2-1 in last years playoffs, with another year of experience. They beat Montana State in the 2nd round and lost to eventual champion EWU in the semi's in OT. Looking forward to a great game in Frisco. The one game NDSU lost this year was at home game to an unranked opponent.

Pros don't count. Sorry, it's apples and oranges. NFL is set up to allow passing to flourish. Frankly this is why I'm tired of the NFL.
In college, it is possible and preferable that you dominate your opponent physically. It works, in short.
As for EWU, I could be wrong but wasn't Taiwan Jones their best player? AND a running back? I seem to recall him gettin hurt in the NDSU game, so he could have missed the NCG. I would not know. I took sick after the way NDSU's season ended and did not watch EWU's title game appearance.

I was answering his question about playing outside of the Fargodome. NDSU was 1-1 on the road last year.

Don't disagree, it's just not a slam dunk at any level and if SHSU were to win it would further prove that point. As for Jones, yes he was our best player, but we were pretty balanced and able to win all three complete games that he missed including the final two against really good running teams with really good defenses.

NDSU is undefeated this year outside the dome with their only loss IN the dome.Odds are they will do just fine
NDSU's defense is superb, and SHSU's offense is excellent. I don't know who the fuck to pick in this one. For posters like Gil D., I'd kinda' like to see the Bison win this one though!
I'm just sorry the thread title isn't: "Georgia Southern vs University of Montana FCS Championship"!

Part of me is a little jealous that NDSU has experienced this level of success so quickly and hopes you lose but the other part of me recognizes that NDSU is a quality program and helps make the MVFC a stronger conference. Fortunately, that part of me wins out and I'll be cheering for NDSU to win the NC.
