Baylor...

Post by ∞∞∞ »

...was looking at some basketball stuff and I just realized, how the hell did Baylor become really damn good in all their sports in such a short period of time? Even three years ago, their athletic programs were pretty sad, but right now they look better than Texas.

Football is ranked #16.
Men's basketball is ranked #6.
Women's basketball is ranked #1.
Women's soccer made it to the tournament for the first time in 12 years and won a game.
Volleyball went to the NCAA tournament.

And last spring, softball made it to the National semifinals and baseball made it to the NCAA tournament.

Honestly, right now Baylor seems to have one of the best all-around athletic programs, if not the best.

They finally were able to recruit true game changers into their programs:
Football - RGIII
Men's BBall - Lacedarius Dunn, Tweety Carter, Perry Jones III
Women's BBall - Brittany Griner

Baylor...should have lost last night. What is with this RG III??? That Washington QB looked good.

What? Why should they have lost? They scored 67 points.

Biggest disappointment to me about that game is that the Washington lineman got the last kickoff then fumbled it away. I stayed up all that time to see if they'd break the bowl game scoring record set in the 2001 GMAC Bowl between East Carolina and Marshall and I think there would've been a good shot if that fumble wouldn't have happened. Would've been really cool to see the record set in a game that didn't have overtime. That GMAC bowl was a double overtime game.

And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

Saw that game Leftwitch was on fire the whole game that game was the reason he was a first round selection too bad his o-line didn't give him the projection he needed along with a decent deep threat after Jimmy Smith retired.
