Normally, I wouldn't root against the Keiblers (unless they were playing Liberty or something like that), but under the circumstances...
GO ODU!!!
GO ODU!!!

Phew. One more and Towson can claim this record all to themselves.

Perhaps it is not appropriate to say that they are "going for" such a record but we hope to be as inhospitable a host as possibe Saturday and not deprive them of their "glory". And there is always that "4th and 29" memory to deal with.

This time, Towson did not convert on 4th and 29.

Yeah, I would hate to see a team (any team) score fewer than 40 points two games in a row. Your thoughts, Andrew?93henfan wrote:At least it was a good, competitive game.CAA Flagship wrote:This time, Towson did not convert on 4th and 29.

Don't worry Towson, Katz is already trying to reclaim the record for Sac State.CAA Flagship wrote:This time, Towson did not convert on 4th and 29.

Geez, Towson is terrible. Teams they play are definitely going to be motivated NOT to be the team the Tigers finally beat. God I hope it isn't UD.

Yeah. We are done with the Tigers unless we meet in the CAA Tourney. Glad to get it overwith. It's one thing losing to a team you should beat, but it's another thing losing to a team with "the streak".bluehenbillk wrote:Geez, Towson is terrible. UD dodged the Towson bullet and won, 62-43, to keep the streak alive. But UD was only up by 2 at the half.bluehenbillk wrote:Geez, Towson is terrible. Teams they play are definitely going to be motivated NOT to be the team the Tigers finally beat. God I hope it isn't UD.

Re: Towson going for NCAA record
Saw the 2nd half last night - glad I missed the first. Towson's offense or lack thereof has to be reason #1 or #1A as to why they've now lost 40 straight. Help is on the way they said - they have 2 transfers, from G'Town & USF that are sitting out this year that they said last night would start for this team. Then again Andy & 93 might get PT on this team so I don't know how much that's worth....

The team is terrible. Only one player on the team with playing time from last year. The two years of lame duck coaching by Pat Kennedy killed any type of recruiting.bluehenbillk wrote:Saw the 2nd half last night - glad I missed the first. Ambrose did it in football, hopefully Skerry can do it in basketball. 2013 the new arena opens. Until then I don't expect very much as far as wins.
I don't expect this team to win at all this year.

Must be getting bad. Front page of Yahoo now.

NEWARK, Del. (AP)—Devon Saddler scored 16 points and Kyle Anderson 14 as Delaware used a late surge to pull away for a 62-43 victory over winless Towson on Monday night.
The Blue Hens (9-10, 5-4 Colonial Athletic Association) held Towson to one basket over a span of 10:30 during which they outscored the Tigers 20-4.
Towson (0-21, 0-9) lost for the 40th consecutive time, dating to last season, extending its Division I record. The Tigers have been outscored by an average of 20.4 points in conference games.

Only reason he wasn't fired in 09 is because the AD just fired the football coach with 3 years left on his contract.
It was the worst kept secret that he was not going to be fired or re-signed at the end of his contract.

The streak is over at 41! UNCW gets the proud distinction to be the one that ends it. Congrats Towson!

Congrats finally to the guys on that team - losing 41 has gotta be a big-time mental drain. I'm just glad UNCW was the victims & not us...
