More power to Slive and the SEC. They have great teams and they know how to work the system.

I do believe that objectively, Oklahoma State has a better resume and that subjectively, Alabama is a better team.

True but there are other aspects of both resumes. Prior to bowl selection, OSU had a better resume in at least two areas worth considering:
Conference standing: Oklahoma St won its conference, Alabama did not
Wins vs. BCS Top 25: Oklahoma St 5, Alabama 2
