I thought it was a great game watching the best defense I have seen in my lifetime stonewall a good LSU offense. I wasn't bored at all. Same goes for the NDSU/SHSU game. If you can't appreciate great defense and want to watch high scoring game with no defense, go watch arena ball.GrizFanStuckInUtah wrote:LS who? Boise was the best FBS team in the nation this year. Their exclusion (ahem...FIX) was pure politics.89Hen wrote:Huh?SuperHornet wrote:If you REALLY want to debate FBS, it's Boise....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Anyone still think the "better" team won the last time these two teams played?

Re: BCS National Championship
I really enjoyed the bowl season much more prior to the BCS. The traditional Big 10/Pac 10 Rose Bowl, Big 12 to the Orange Bowl. The mythical national champion could be strung out over several bowl games and had more national interest than a 1 game scenario that nobody but the schools involved and ESPN care about.

Re: BCS National Championship
It might be nostalgia, but I miss the other major bowl games having as much meaning as they used to. A +1 would help add meaning to one more bowl game. I also end the season with the major bowls and have all of the less bowls occur prior to the 1st major bowl. I was probably one of the few people to watch Northern Illinois play Arkansas St but that game should not be after the Rose, Sugar, Orange, Fiesta or even Cotton.Gil Dobie wrote:I really enjoyed the bowl season much more prior to the BCS.
