For the simple reason that Georgia kids have played a disproportionately prominent role in championship programs over the years in this division, and I'm not talking just about GSU. Guys like Eric Ward, all the Atlanta area players on App and Furman, etc... a lot of great players in this division through the years have come from Georgia.

One of our Georgia boys, Brice Butler, just left us. No loss there though. I must profess ignorance about Georgia football, but I will take you word for it.

Georgia high school football is strong. W&M always has 4 or 5 Georgia kids on the roster, as do most CAA programs. Taylor Heinicke, the freshman sensation for ODU is a Georgia product.

I would opine that the top of the local 5A Georgia high school football I have seen since I have been here could be competitive as Division III teams, if they stayed together and continued to develop.
