Reasons for Mike Adras Departure Finally Trickling Out…

…and they aren't pretty.

Still no explanation as to why NAU put the color commentator in charge & not one of Adras's assistants, though.

Great...

As for why Dave Brown - former head coach/AD, so qualified. The likely did not want to promote an assistant if they were unsure who they could trust.

This just makes me sad but offers some possible insight on past assistant coaches leaving at odd times or with no explanation. :ohno:

If everything in this article ends up being true,it doesn't portray the mens basketball program situation or athletic dept. in a positive light. Trying to stay positive but I expect things will get worse before they get better. 100% positive the NCAA won't bend over backwards and look the other way like they did @ Auburn (Cam Newton) and with Calipari on multiple occasions. Combine the head coaching change with program "drama" and a down year like this will result in players transferring and assistant coaches leaving as well.

Young, energetic, willing to take on a longer turnaround than most would like, west coast roots/connections....my wish list for a new coach is pretty simple.

My dealings with people in general in my short amount of time on this planet leads me to believe that people are neither the angels nor the devils that they are made out to be. Good people do bad. Bad people do good. Lots of grey area. I won't throw him under the bus, I thank Coach Adras for his time @ NAU and wish him well in his future endeavours.

On a side note, why is Fallis considering a below position at Northern State in SD?

You like Fallis? He did some good things at UNC, but did some real shitty things too.

Not really like him, but the reasons for applying to a lesser position - is there something bad coming down the pike for NAU?
