5th Grade CYO Basketball

So my 10 year old, libby7171, qualified for the St. Marks Invitational. I live in Catonsville, MD. There are two prominent Catholic church/school. St.Mark and St. Agnes. It's not really a wrong side of the tracks deal, because I live next to a S-load of St. Markers. But St.Marks acts like they are totally above any St.Agnes parisoner. Whatever. St. Agnes loves to play hard and play gritty. St. Marks expects the refs to win the game for them. Think ACC Terps vs Duke.

So it's their tourney, they schedule us in the first round. We dominate 26-11. So fun kicking them in their own house in the teeth.

We play 2 hours later, again in a bizarre round robin format that would have given them a bye to the championship round, but we have to play in two more to get to Monday.

We rout Our Lady of Perpetual Heart(OLPH) 15-3. OLPH is DIRTY. Ref don't call squat against them.

So we have to play Our Lady of Victory(OLV) in 2 hours at 7:20pm. Luckily the game is literally across the street from me at Mt deSales Academy HS. If we win this we play on Monday against a couple teams from a different league that we destroyed in the regular season. It will be sweet to win the St.Marks Invitational as the lowly St.Agnes.

We got HAMMERED. We play the team we beat earlier for 3rd place. I'm gonna tell libby7171 to be a hachet.


Hope I don't see SH in the stands.
