Sorry. No smoking while reloading. It is a rule or something.

(not sure smoking could ignite smokeless powder anyways, black powder sure)
You should be safe then. Go ahead. See if it's true.

For want of a treaded tire the race was lost.

And so for the first time in history, the Daytona 500 is not run on a Sunday.

But...10am MST tomorrow it will be on, if it doesn't monsoon again.

There is rain forecast for tomorrow too. I would love a 5pm EST or later start. A 100% under the lights D500 would be cool.

I agree 100%. Sure hope they get it in tomorrow. I got my DVR cleared out and set for the long haul in the off chance I won't see the race.

Man did that suck yesterday. I know it's supposed to rain today - I hope they run it at night today so I can watch the thing.

Looking at weather.com, there is still a line of precipitation stacked well into the Gulf and heading ENE. I'm no meteorologist, but it appears it will be raining until noon at least, then add on the 2+ hours of track drying and I bet they don't start any sooner than 3pm. Keeping fingers crossed that it goes even later. Sucks for the fans in the stands, but it would be a real win for NASCAR to have the Daytona 500 finish in weekday primetime.

Hoping it's delayed until the afternoon or later as well. Was going to miss it yesterday so I'm a happy camper but would be pissed if I was in Daytona and had tickets

Because all of you EC(b)'ers want a night race, I hope it starts on time and is over before you can get home to watch it. Sure hope you set your DVR's.

Loves from the WC.

Well, if there are like 5 green-white-checkers and the race isn't over until after midnight here, you may win yet.

I believe the rule is 1 or 2 chances at a GWC.

Why did you say 5, since you knew the max they could have was 3? You are much smarter than this.

No. No I am not. I just sent two packages of beer on a FedEx truck across Minnesota, North Dakota, and Montana in February. Methinks you might get a nice box of broken glass and ice that smells like beer tomorrow.  :ohno:

If I get cut, I have this post as proof on who I need to send papers to.

Just when I walk out of the room. Not that I give a shit anymore. The commercials are killing me. I am beginning to think that the commercials are longer than the actual telecast. FUCK! I don't give a shit anymore.

Ah yes. The "caution for debris".

Read: The field is out of balance and Fox needs some advertising dough. :ohno:

I don't know how much more advertising dough they could possibly need after 2 full days of nothing but TALK and commercials. The race today has been a shit show with the 3 minutes of racing and then 2-5 minutes of commercials. What a way to kill the sport. FUCK THEM. I am with the haters now.
