Love Returns to Portland
Kevin Love, who grew up in the Portland area, put up 42 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves their first victory in 16 games against the Blazers. Fellow all-star and a much superior player, Lamarcus Aldridge fouled out with 14 points and 7 boards. It's obvious the refs gave the game to the T-Wolves in some fashion.

I haven't watched the Wolves in years... happened to catch this game with a buddy who is a Blazers fan - this team is fun to watch.

Refs didn't give the Wolves anything. Love and company earned it. Usually, Ridnauer (Oregon Ducks) is the one with NW connections to torch the Blazers, but Love (Lake Oswego) had a phenominal game and Martell Webster (Seattle native) also played well. Blazers are not playing well right now and the vibe surrounding the team is not good. Seven game eastern road trip is on the horizon so the season could be over before the trade deadline (March 15).Gil Dobie wrote:It's obvious the refs gave the game to the T-Wolves in some fashion.

Portland misses Andre Miller, by the looks of the way Felton played.JALMOND wrote:Refs didn't give the Wolves anything. Love and company earned it. Love drops in 39 against Blake Griffin and the Clippers, for the Wolves 3rd straight win against Lob City.

Rematch Wednesday in Minneapolis. Blazers better be ready. This game will set the tone for the rest of the long road trip.

It will be big for the Wolves too, with the Lakers coming in on Friday, New Orleans on Saturday and then 7 straight road games after that.JALMOND wrote:Rematch Wednesday in Minneapolis. Blazers better be ready. This game will set the tone for the rest of the long road trip.

Wolves move into the final playoff spot for now with a big win over Portland.
White-out planned for Friday, all fans are requested to wear a white shirt to the Lakers game.

T-Wolves may have to trade for a point-guard now that Rubio is out for the season.
