The football stadium is bigger than the hoops arena, right? So it stands to reason that if an anticipated sell-out is moved to the football stadium, the fans that would have been disappointed now get in, so that even if THAT isn't a sell-out, you have more butts in the seats, which translates into more dollars in ticket sales, concessions, and overpriced parking to split between UM and the league.
Outdoor basketball. At night. In March. :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

Projected weather:

Tuesday, March 6th: High of 33 degrees, low of 20 degrees; chance of snow
Wednesday, March 7th: High of 38 degrees, low of 25 degrees.

This ain't fuckin' Suckramento.

What about a 1300 tip?

Depends on what the tab is. If the bill is 30 bucks a $13 tip ain't bad, but if the bill is $169.30, 13 bucks ain't shit.

Good one, grizza.

AZ would have gotten my point of a 1 PM tipoff.

FWIW, though, AZ's weather report pretty much sells me on NOT doing it. While as a native Californian (more specifically, from the valley), I would not have expected snow in March. But if that's the way life is in Montana, I'll agree that indoors is better, even at the cost of lost revenue. Of course, they'll probably recoup that with jacked up prices that will line Fullerton's wallet. :ohno:

The only two games that will approach sellouts are the two Montana games. The other ones will NOT include any lost revenue.

I was specifically referring to the final, which presumably WILL include the Griz. If anyone other than Weber (and I'm not even sure about THAT this year) pulls the upset, I'll eat my hat.

PSU leads Weber 35-30 at the half. Odum & Tapscott have combined for 27 points, while Lillard & Wheelwright lead the Weebs with 9 apiece (Bamforth only has 2).

The biggest difference is rebounding, where the Viks have a 16-9 edge.

I've noticed, at least for the games in Missoula, that the Big Sky refs have been calling things less tightly over the past couple weeks.

Weber wins 69-63, closing the game on a 20-6 run.

PSU went stagnant & played sloppy over the last 5 minutes.

I guess it's fitting that the Championship will be Montana beating Weber again.

I sort of doubt that, grizza. I'm expecting a good, close game, and that WHOEVER wins will have earned it.

That said, I'm NOT going so far as to say UM will lose. It will be very tough to beat them in a huge game on their own floor.

Holy shit, you can't be serious. Eastern could have had 100 fouls called on them last night. They had to literally rape a guy under the basket to get a foul called on them.

So could Montana. It was so hard to watch last night and Im not even an Eastern fan. When an Eagle can go inside and get slapped on the arm no call and down the court Jamar or Cherry barely gets touched and they get an and one something is fishy, especailly that foul towards the end of the game where the Eastern player had picked up his dribble and layed the shot up while getting fouled and makes the basket, the ref takes his basket away but Eastern shoots free throws? If it was before the shot why is he shooting freethrows? And Eastern was not in the bonus yet either. Montana shot 32 Ft's compared to only 13 for the Eagles, the Griz more than doubled EWU's total, and Griz fans were complaining about the lack of fouls on Eastern?

Were there horrible calls both ways? yeah sure, Eastern had a few travels that werent called, but as an unbiased observer, I could tell that the Griz were getting quite a bit of love last night.

The last thing I want to see is Weber get totaly hommered, that was hard to watch for Eastern last night, it was hard to watch last year in the championship game for the Griz, I dont want to see it tonight in anybodies favor, Let em play ref. BOTH SIDES

Good sign for the Big Sky - with Western Kentucky winning the Sunbelt, and Detroit winning the Horizon, two conferences whose champ was projected to be seeded higher than the Big Sky now have weaker teams in the tourney. This assures the Big Sky champ at worst a 15 seed, and could get a 14 seed.
