Raiders Draft?

Post by grizzaholic »

Has a team ever gone into draft day with only 2 picks? I believe after they gave Cinci a first this, and a second next, year for Palmer they only have a 5th and 7th pick.

As a Bungle fan, I would like to thank you for the draft picks this and next year. :thumb: I sure hope Simpson will be out of jail and ready for the season next year.

Not sure if this is a politically correct thing to say but regardless of this years draft the Raiders have gotten better because..........................they are under new leadership!!!!

Um, no.

The Raiders REALLY screwed the pooch when they got rid of an entire staff that was getting the ship turned around. The whole point was for that numbnuts new GM to get his name in the paper.

I don't know if this is exactly where you were heading, grizza, but there was the New Orleans abortion of a draft where Mike Ditka traded the entire draft for the #1 spot so he could get Rickey Williams.

So NO only had 1 pick that year?

I believe that to be correct. Perhaps TJ will correct me if I'm wrong. But I believe that is correct.

What would TJ know about NO?

He went to Southern or at least claims allegiance to Southern. That school is located in Baton Rouge, which is a lot closer to NO than either of us. So I'm guessing that whether or not he is personally a fan of the Saints, he'd at least be familiar with them (more so than either of us, anyway).

Wrong, Wrong and Wrong.

He went to Montana.
That school is in Missoula.
I live closer to NO than him.
He only cares about the Griz.
His allegiance is dedicated to Montana and ONLY Montana.

So the "Jag" part of his name means about as much as the "grizza" part of yours?

Several people have referred to him as such, so I'm just following their lead.

FWIW, I just figured out the likely person you thought I meant. I don't generally use given names on boards like this unless someone starts that up with me because handles are supposed to be semianonymous. I don't mind most people punking ME out like that because for most people here it's all in good fun. But I don't want to be the one to cause offense, particularly with a poster as good as that one is.
