NFL Rule Changes

Post by SuperHornet »

Last year's new playoff OT rule is now official for the entire season. Another one is that the victim of a crackback is now considered defenseless, thereby making the foul one of the fifteen-yard variety. A proposal to outlaw horsecollar tackles on the QB was benched as they couldn't see the injury factor compared to an open-field horsecollar tackle, in which the runner's momentum is used against him.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

The whole notion of a player, on the field of play, being defenseless is beyond me.
"Elaine, you're from Baltimore, right?"
"Yes, well, Towson actually."
