Turns out now Governor Corbett screwed up worse than Paterno did.
Not to say JoePa didn't deserve to be removed but other people have dirty hands from this whole Sandusky mess as well.

No shit. This isn't even news.

Sure it's news for 99/9% of the people say in South Carolina.CitadelGrad wrote:No ****. This isn't even news.
The fact that Corbett, a Republican, had one investigator on the Sandusky case, versus 14 investigators on the case against the Democratic speaker of the PA house, who was found guilty of like 7 misdemeanors?
Yea, great judgement.

DeWeese was indicted on 6 felony charges, found guilty on 5 of them. Surprising he's not from Philly.bluehenbillk wrote:Sure it's news for 99/9% of the people say in South Carolina.CitadelGrad wrote:No ****. This isn't even news.

Hmm didn't know those charges were classified as felonies. Anyway, still pales in comparison to going after Sandusky, but Corbett waa going to take his time going after a foundation that gave him over $200K in political contributions...

Re: PA Governor fumbled PSU case
Finally got around to reading this article and I'm not sure how you read into it that Corbett screwed up worse than Paterno did. Sure, he could've moved faster initially in the investigation than they did, but even the article says that they are typically reluctant to pursue charges based on one alleged case of assault with no physical evidence. Things apparently picked up after they found the 1998 investigation that Penn State did, as well as the McQuery testimony, but that really begs the question again as to why Penn State, with all that information, didn't do anything a decade earlier than when it all finally went down. Corbett comes off as a politician, for sure, and he's got a lot of negatives in terms of public perception right now in terms of other, completely unrelated matters, but at the end of the day it was his two and half year investigation (for which he was the AG for one of them) that has pretty much a slam dunk case against an obvious child predator whom Joe Pa and the rest of the Penn State community let roam free for more than a decade after they seemingly knew he was as bad as he's being portrayed. Corbett is far down the list of villians in this case, assuming he's even on the list.
