Bearkats vs. Bobkats to be televised 11/17

This game has had SLC title and playoff implecations the last few years. It is a great one to put on the air.

Sam Houston State's regular season football finale against the Texas State-San Marcos Bobcats will be televised to a six-state regional cable TV audience by Fox Sports Net Southwest, the Southland Conference has announced.

Originally scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 17, the game will be moved to Thursday night, Nov. 15, with a 7 p.m. kickoff at Bobcat Stadium in San Marcos.

The game will mark the 15th regional cable TV appearance on Fox for Sam Houston State. Last year, the Bearkats were featured on Fox three times (against Texas, Northwestern State, and Central Arkansas).

The contest between the Bobcats and the Bearkats marks the 84th meeting of the two universities on the football field. The series ranks as the oldest NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision rivalry in the state of Texas.

That would be BOBCATS. I know you guys want to spell everything with a "K" but sometimes it just doesn't work.
I for one am not real happy with this because this is usually the hardest fought game of the year for both of us and no one shows up for Thursday night games at either one of our stadiums. I remember watching the Central Arkansas game at your place last year thinking that the crowd was terrible, and then a couple of weeks later we layed an egg with the Thursday night Nicholls game.

I don't think Thursday games will be a problem for the Kats this year. Last week we had over 10,000 for the Thursday game for a game that we were expected to win big.
