I know the school said he does but I don't think he plays like it. He may run 4.4s for them but I think he runs 4.58-4.63 for the NFL scouts.dal4018 wrote:Want to see what Spadola does this yr someone stated he's run a sub 4.4 wonder what type of offense Lehigh runs just curious?SmallCollegeFBFan wrote:EARLY PAYTON, BUCHANAN WATCH LISTS

I'm glad you mentioned that. I think NDSU has several guys who are candidates but especially at RB where they have someone the class is so loaded it's hard. There are All-America caliber guys who missed out because of the depth in the secondary and at RB this year.kingranch wrote:i cannot believe that there is only one preseason all american on youre list of first, second, and third team all americans from the reigning national championship team
Williams is the only returning 1st-team All-MVFC player they have but there are several who I could see earn their way on the list this year such as Heagle, Smith, Wright, Ojuri, Jirik, Dudzik, and Turner.

Re: Early Preseason Payton, Buchanan, and All-America lists
Robert Alford, CB, Southeastern Louisiana, belongs on the list somewhere ... best cover corner in the SLC and I'd dare say one of the best in the country ... has run in the high 4.2's to mid 4.3's with a 40 inch vertical ... he'll get a chance in the NFL.

Re: Early Preseason Payton, Buchanan, and All-America lists
I saw him play and not sure I would expect him to run that fast. I would guess 4.45. If he does run 4.3s and jumps 40 inches he not only will get a chance but he would go in the 3rd or 4th round.slulionsfan wrote:Robert Alford, CB, Southeastern Louisiana, belongs on the list somewhere ... best cover corner in the SLC and I'd dare say one of the best in the country ... has run in the high 4.2's to mid 4.3's with a 40 inch vertical ... he'll get a chance in the NFL.

Re: Early Preseason Payton, Buchanan, and All-America lists
He can fall out of bed and run a 4.45 ... He may run that on the slow end, on a bad day, but he'll be solid in the 4.35 range most of the time ... ran back to back 4.25s the spring going into sophomore year ... had to miss all of 2010 with a pinched nerve but came back and had a great year in 2011 ... had 5 picks playing pretty much straight man coverage ... has great ball skills!
Re: Early Preseason Payton, Buchanan, and All-America lists
I think Bell has to be 1st team. Also, I think Ealey should be 3rd team. Billy Turner has a case to be 3rd ream OL for NDSU, same with DB Colton Heagle

The 2nd best player on the Bison team behind M Williams is Ryan Drevlow.....he has the potential to be an AA.SmallCollegeFBFan wrote:I'm glad you mentioned that. All those guys are very good, but Drevlow is the 2nd best on the team...period. With what he does in the trenches taking 2 blockers on almost every play, he is a potential AA. The 2 games he was out Youngstown and WIU ran all over us. Plus we have him for 2 more years....lakesbison wrote:what a joke, slap yourself.

It probably won't happen because you generally have to be on the preseason list to have a shot, but I firmly believe that making some noise will be Mason Magleby.
SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Missed two of SIU's DL who were better than Obaseki last year and will be this year: NT Swanson and DE Boatright
The two leading tacklers for SIU while playing a 3-4, keep them on your short list. Swanson beat the snot out of Ol' Miss' Rimington Award winning center for 7 or 8 tackles and a pair of sacks. Too small for Sunday but he is a one man wrecking crew. Boatright xfered from NAIA last year and started. He makes much wood bust out among the Saluki coaching staff.

Re: Early Preseason Payton, Buchanan, and All-America lists
Here is another name to watch ,for as a Payton candidate Prairie View QB Jerry Lovelocke ,physically at 6-4 210 he has everything you want as a signal caller unfortunately he ,had to share playing time at the most important position on a football team. This yr the job is his and his alone his numbers should ,rise easily and his watershed game will be against 1-AA powerhouse North Dakota State this season.SmallCollegeFBFan wrote:EARLY PAYTON, BUCHANAN WATCH LISTS
