Giants closer Brian "The Beard" Wilson is out for the season due to an elbow injury. The Dodgers, Padres, D-backs, and Rockies are all happy not to have to face him.
There is nothing specific about his upcoming surgery, but look for his return to take awhile if he ends up getting Tommy John surgery.

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

D-Backs couldn't care less. We OWNED Brian Wilson last year. We'd have owned him again this year. Just gives Giants scum a built in excuse for not winning the West AGAIN this year....

Less than 2 weeks in and the Padres are already out of it so it makes no difference to us fans. Thank God I put money on the under of 71 wins this season.
