BTW, this will obviously be the best chance for the Flyers to put them away. They need to come out and just nail Crosby and Malkin and get their heads out of the game. If they turn this into a European style game, they will lose.

Re: 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs
Maybe the Flyers can get some of their players suspended too.89Hen wrote:BTW, this will obviously be the best chance for the Flyers to put them away. While the other suspensions are justified, I really don't see anything in the James Neal hits that warrant the suspension.
Philly players have been throwing hits like that (and worse) all series/season.

Re: 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs
It was probably the fact they happened on the same shift - 40 seconds apart - and he left his feet on both of them that got him the suspension. There may not be a better player in the league right now than Giroux - there's no way they're going to let you hit him in the head & have it go unpunished.JayJ79 wrote:Maybe the Flyers can get some of their players suspended too.89Hen wrote:BTW, this will obviously be the best chance for the Flyers to put them away. He left his feet on both which is almost always met with a suspension. He also targeted Giroux's head. He had PLENTY of time to adjust his hit to make it clean.JayJ79 wrote:Maybe the Flyers can get some of their players suspended too.89Hen wrote:BTW, this will obviously be the best chance for the Flyers to put them away. Ugh. 9-3 Pens after 2.
So much for slamming the door.

Well...at least both goalies gave up 5 goals. I was hoping to see a LA sweep of the useless Canucks.

At least the Sens tied up their series. If Philly escapes the Pens, they need somebody else to beat the Rangers.

True dat. Flyers matchup must better with Pittsburgh than NYR & Lundquist is the bomb.89Hen wrote:

Obviously this is a record for most goals scored in a playoff series...45 goals through 4 games...

The Blues are having their side of the bracket set up perfectly.
No Canucks, Red Wings, or Blackhawks? Yes please!
If the Rangers go down as well, the Blues will have home ice as long as they keep winning.

Apparently the Green Card givaway promotion was a big hit...DSUrocks07 wrote:Actually 34,000 were thereAZGrizFan wrote:

Flyers slam Pens, 5-1, to clinch round 1! Giroux buries Crosby on opening shift, and Fleury played like, well, Fleury!

Smith is putting on a clinic in goal tonight. He has made at least a half dozen saves any of those goalies on the whimpy east coast teams can only dream of making.AZGrizFan wrote:But Coyotes will be there.MSUDuo wrote:The Blues are having their side of the bracket set up perfectly.
