Looks pretty good, With Cherry and Jamar coming back for the Griz, it would be no suprise for Montana to be a heavy favorite, I look forward to seeing what Weber State is capable of doing this next season without Damian Lillard, Weber has some really good players returning and also brought it some good looking recruits, it will be interesting to see what they can do. Also looking forward to what the young guns at both Sacramento State and UNC can do this upcoming season. UNC has some great shooters, and Sac plays a great team ball. I feel Eastern will be good again, and after that, it up in the air, I am affraid I dont know too much about North Dakota, but intend to learn about what they have coming back, heck North Dakota beat the Big Sky champs of last season so you never know how good they are gonna be.

UND may be a mystery to its fans too. I think the coach may get the boot after the season if things don't improve. They can't hit a free throw to save their life. They can win at home but struggle on the road. UND beat Montana, South Dakota State and North Dakota State last season so they can win big games, but its almost a Jeckyl and Hyde team. Nobody knows who is going to show up. I would give Coach Jones 1 year of Big Sky play before thinking of booting him. UND has won the GWC tournament back to back...but its not saying much comparing it to the Big Sky.

There is no way that Montana State finishes that high. We just lost our starting Center and I have heard 2-3 of our top recruits can't make grades and will not be here. Funny thing is I saw Bobby Knight at the Fieldhouse this weekend, maybe he will be our next coach...

Top 2 is where MSU will be....

I refuse to get my hopes high for a Katz coached team. Yes the team play has improved but this guy just can’t get wins. He goes into an uber conservative shell with a lead in the second half and it usually costs us wins. I do like the recruiting class he landed. Nothing really spectacular but he added some much needed depth at PG behind Garrity and some big man dept behind Dickson and Veteto. Katz is out of excuses and he needs to bring in some wins and at a bare minimum make the BSC Tournament.

I do hope we have a decent schedule too. I thought he pulled together a solid schedule last season and he needs to do it again to give this team a shot at some wins.

SHIT. I fucked up. I just noticed this is the hoops thread...not the football thread. Yes, MSU sucks in the basketball department.

Please don't make fun of me. :new:

That makes more sense. BUT if Bob Knight is our next coach, we could turn it around pretty soon...

That would be fucking AWESOME!...but I think he is done with the coaching gig and will keep on keeping on with the announcing and whatnot.

That's probably true, grizza. But one should ALSO look at it from the OTHER side: is MSU prepared to pony up the cache the abusive bastard would demand, and would UM scream about it in the legislature? I've heard weird stories about interschool politics up there....

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

IMO, no one would bitch about him. I think he is a great coach. All of this BS about him being abusive and whatnot, fuck...man up. This is sports. Not some ballerina class.
