With Weber getting screwed and losing their coach I have had to adjust my predictions again for this season. I think that this is really going to hurt WSU. Unless MAC comes back I think that Weber is going to have a ruff season.

1. Cal Poly
2. MSU
3. EWU
4. UM up 1
5. SUU up 2
6. ISU
7. SAC up 1
8. PSU up 1
9. WSU down 5
10. UND up 1
11. NAU
12. UCD
13. UNC
BEAT WEBER!!!

That defeats the purpose of it being a "predictions" thread genius.

Well genius, I don't think they will be in that order. ISU will be in the bottom two as usual. Does that help you out, Hornette.

They're relying on the Big Human being in Pocatello, Ag. I'm personally not so sure that he's been there long enough for his supposed expertise to have an effect. I'm ALSO not sure that ANYBODY could win there.

Amazingly, I gotta take a Dark Side person over a fellow Hornet here. I don't like that feeling.

FWIW, Ryan, I'm ALSO not prepared to freak THAT much over the stupid defection yet. Weber has historically played well in league. While the Wildcats may be on the bubble for the playoffs, I certainly don't see them below the 6 slot in league, either. Even at their worst, Weber is NOT going to lose to the likes of ISU or UNC, I'm certain of that.

I'm still waiting for the dust to settle, but I don't think Montana or Weber will fall very much. The key is whether they will be able to keep all the recruits and I think both will.

I am still waiting until August, but I've got some ideas. :D

Montana's offense is the best it has looked in a long time. They will be very hard to stop this year.. I just have to chuckle at everyones predictions. Were not going anywhere.. The Big Sky Championship runs through Missoula. Dont get it twisted!

As for GoAgs72 post I don't think UCD has a very favorable schedule. I don't think at this time that we have a clear picture of how UCD will play in the BSC. With that I put you 12th not as a dis but I think that other teams have better schedules with better odds. As for relying on the big human he has not been in pocatello long enough you are correct. But with the schedule and what I have seen 6th is best case and not bad odds. Kramer started to turn things around ISU will have one of the best team GPA in the BSC and it looks like all NCAA sanctions will be removed this year. In the next two years ISU will be in the top 3. As for Weber losing your coach is bad. WSU schedule is tuff and with the fallout how many recruits are going to change their mind? How fast can WSU get a coaching staff in place? WSU will not beat ISU in the rumble in Pocatello this year! WSU best case top 5 after the problems 9th.

Kyle Padron was granted a red shirt year so will have 2 years to play @ Eastern. GAME CHANGER!!
The QB position has been in question for the 2012 season. With Padron transferring from SMU it raises the bar for the QB's on campus in Cheney. Hopefully Padron will have to earn the position to create a spirited competition and the best man will emerge as the starting QB for the Big Sky Champion Eastern Washington Eagles.

You just HAD to do that, Ag. Right after I supported your position. This is something that punk aggiemba would pull. It's beneath you, at least from what I've seen out of you here.

Revisit? Yes, I expect we will.

ISU has a manageable home slate with Sac, UC Davis, NAU and Weber all traveling to Pocatello. ISU travels to UNC, Montana, Slo and Portland. I expect ISU will finish better than 12 or 13 as just 2 BSC wins should keep a team out of the cellar.

Surprised this thread hasn't been bumped since April…

My predictions:

  • 1. Montana State _______7-1____10-1_____ They've got the talent, can they sack up when it counts?
    2. Eastern Washington__7-1_____9-2_____ If Padron=Mitchell, a somewhat better defense should be the difference
    3. Weber State__________6-2_____6-5_____ Their playoff hopes could come down to the McNeese game
    4. Montana _____________6-2_____8-3_____ The Griz D looks like it should be better than projected
    5. Northern Arizona ____6-2_____8-3_____ The 'Jacks should shred teams if Baumann stays healthy
    6. UC Davis ____________ 5-3_____7-4_____ Azusa Pacific will cost the retiring Bob Biggs a playoff appearance
    7. Cal Poly ______________4-4_____5-6_____ Favorable schedule, average team
    8. Southern Utah _______3-5_____4-7_____ The T-Birds have Sorensen & little else
    9. North Dakota ________3-5_____5-6_____ They're too lacking in big-play capabiliity
10.Portland State_______ 2-6_____3-8_____ Replacing Kavanaugh, McCaffrey, and most of the D is a bit too much
11.Northern Colorado___2-6_____3-8_____ I've got questions about their coaching staff, but they should still improve
    12. Idaho State _________1-7_____2-9_____ Even The Big Human can't turn the Bengals around overnight
13.Sacramento State ___ 0-8_____1-10 ___ Last year was Sac's big chance & they blew it

EWU, NAU, and the Montanas make the playoffs
Tiebreakers (head-to-head) are included.

I suspect you're wrong about PSU, but we'll just have to wait and see. We have a sophomore QB that's at least average and a junior QB transfer that at least passes well, a stable of runners that are quite good, and a rebuilt D line that judging by fall practice should be good. I'd stay at the coaches guestimate of 4th in the BSC. The North Dakota game should tell us something.

I think PSU should do decently well at the very least if DJ Adams is the real deal.

Weber State has a better chance of being 0-9 going into their last two games than they do of being 6-2 in the BSC.

With all the additions UNC has made during the off season I would be very concerned if we didn't finish in the middle of the pack. The biggest concern is the O-line not giving enough time for Lobato to toss the ball. We have a new O-line coach but he's inexperienced. We had a huge over-haul of the roster and we got rid of some players who just didn't give a shit. We brought in guys who have been drafted in by the CFL (Herve Tonye), a 4 start LB (Leilon Willngham) a receiver with true Pac-12 talent and played a lot of Pac 12 games (Will Jefferson). We also had Kay Dalton return in an advising coaching duty. He has coached for 50 years and at ever level of the game. He was a offensive coordinator when we won our D2 titles and our head coach when we made our transition.

1. MSU (Wins National Title).
2. EWU
3. Cal Poly
4. PSU
5. Montana
6. SUU
7. UNC
8. NAU
9. UND
10. Weber State
11. Sac State
12. ISU
13. UC-Davis

D.J. Adams (PSU) Is a transfer. Yes, he did well his freshman year at Maryland. He averaged 4 yards a carry, and that 's what he's been showing at fall practice. He doesn't break lose; he just plows ahead. We're counting on Shaq Richards for the fancy footwork. A lot will depend on what he does. Our passing will be much better this year. Kavanaugh was fine on short passes, but he couldn't throw a long one. Ramirez or Milhollin can. We'll be throwing more. And yes, our D line is MUCH better; it will be interesting to see how the UND running game does against us. On the whole, I'd say that Menv's predictions reflect the Rocky Mountain view - they just can't see PSU and Sac State winning. But so it goes.

What makes you think that? We lost a head coach not a whole team. We get all 3 of our hardest conf games at home, and Eastern Washingon is the hardest one, and our hardest road game is SUU.

I dont really understand the whole "Weber has no chance" mentality. We lose a head coach who didnt even coach a game and Weber is a sunk ship :?:

I don't know enough of each team to make a very good guess plus I am not sure about Weber and Griz with its new coaches which were both unexpected.

1. MSU - I expect MSU to be the top team

I would probably guess the top 6 to include Griz, EWU, CP, SUU

Sac has been good lately not sure what they lost so I don't expect them to plummit.

PSU no clue plus my team doesn't even play them.

NAU, UND I would probably guess middle of pack

ISU not sure, 2nd year of Big Human so I do expect them to start getting a lot better so they could be in the middle but it is only year 2. Maybe I should wait for year 3 or 4 to think they could be top 6.

UNC probably last based on years past. 2nd year of new coach, hard to guess. I sure hope they can get better. I hate to see a team always bad.

Weber? I don't know. Tough schedule, 3 head coaches since December. I want to see a 6-5 record, a healthy team could do it assuming our new coaches are good. I could see Weber top 4 or even top 8.

UCD: Everyone is picking them low, I will be at their stadium when they host Weber so a road win would be great.
