MSU's Fall Loses Senior Season

Bobcat Nation thread:

Quote from Bozeman Chronicle writer Gidal Kaiser on Bobcat Nation:
In the week since this happened, the Mo Fall situation has gotten plenty of attention. CBSSports' Matt Norlander weighed in http://www.cbssports.com/collegebasketb ... a-decision" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, as did Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Eisenberg http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the ... 16041.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and Raphielle Johnson of NBCSports/Collegehoops.net http://collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports. ... nior-year/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. I even cold-called Eisneberg during his & Bruce Pearl's SiriusXM college hoops show to talk a little about it. I'm trying to get Brad Huse on the horn to get his reaction about the 15 minutes of fame, so to speak, MSU is getting because of this. Obviously it's a relatively unfortunate reason MSU is being put in the spotlight, but it's a reason that matters nonetheless and goes on because of the NCAA's bureaucratic process.
Thoughts?

Is there a newspaper article on it or???

That is terrible news.

I think this was the original one in the Chronicle:

Rules are rules and this kid shouldn't have broken them. He should have known better  ...having said that, this happens to a player at a marquee program and he is allowed to play. :ohno:

SD, it is a dumb rule. The NCAA is nuts. This is terrible for MSU and coach Huse. That program just cannot catch a break.

Love this quote:

DicTater:
I don't want to say there might be a double standard or anything, but the guy from Notre Dame has to sit out the Delaware St. game for doing the same thing. Whereas the guy from Senegal going to MSU loses an entire year. It doesn't seem like the NCAA blindly enforces their rules. Rather, it does so arbitrarily to benefit the big time programs and throws the book at the little guys. Kind of like the US DOJ not charging a single banker for all the fraudulent activities that ruined the economy, but they've got plenty of resources to go after pot growers.
