Did you not read my earlier post? We don't need a deep threat... we have Ricardo Lockette, one of the fastest players from last year. He only played in two games, one catch in each, but he averaged 50 yards per catch.

No I didn't see that I thought you guys put him on waivers okay great you have a deep threat 50 yds a catch that is definitely deep threat material no doubt !!!!!!!!Good to see that Jackson is finally being allowed to do what he did best in college at Alabama St show off his deep ball!!!

Hopefully we'll see more use of speedster Ricardo Lockette (the Rocket) as he develops. He had 2 catches for 104 yards and a TD in the two games he played at the end of last season. Also can't wait to see what we have in 6'4 Kris Durham, who didn't get to play at all last year because of injury.
Again I disagree I say Jackson has one of the best deep balls in the NFL.I felt his arm was just as good as any of the guys in the 06 qb class that were drafted ahead of him.
Cardinals easily had the best first round of any of the NFCW teams.

As long as the hawks have a solid rest of the draft, the sting won't hurt as much. At least they got 2 more picks out of that stupid move.

We took the BPA, who also fit a need. None of the OLinemen there at 13 would have helped - just not that talented
Consensus was that he was a 2nd rounder, and would be a 1st if not for the off the field stuff. Also, 7 teams had him listed in their top 15 players. His 38 sacks in 3 years between Mount SAC and WVU were pretty much on athletic ability and instinct alone... he'd never been coached to play DE. I'll wait to see how many sacks he gets this year before I make a judgment.

For the next two years, Irvin was lost in a world of drug dealing and robbery. During that time, he was arrested for robbery and spent 2 1/2 weeks in a county jail.
But even that didn't slow down Irvin. It wasn't until one of his closest friends, whom Irvin declines to identify, was arrested for cocaine trafficking that Irvin decided to change his life.

Jamarcus Russel and Kyle Boler can throw the ball 70 yards too....
That doesn't make them good QB's.
Jackson is a shit QB. He is not even close to being an NFL caliber QB. I felt that way when the Vikings took him....I really felt that way watching him play in Minnesota....and I still feel that way.

Jackson is a **** QB. He is not even close to being an NFL caliber QB. I felt that way when the Vikings took him....I really felt that way watching him play in Minnesota....and I still feel that way.
I'd rather have Tebow.
Neither of these had Brad Childress as a head coach who handtied Jackson while in Minnesota asking him to hand the ball off to Adrian Peterson in the first half then expect him to come out throwing in the second half like Unitas.Childress should have used the pass to set up the run instead nobody will confuse him when it comes to developing qb talent like Bill Walsh.
I'd handcuff a QB who proved to me he can't handle the offense and make good decisions....especially when you have the best back in the league behind him
