Cluck, all police reports have two check boxes; race and ethnicity. "Hispanic" is not a race, it is an ethnicity. You can be white and Hispanic (like most Salvadorenos or Argentinians) or you can be black and Hispanic, like Dominicans and many Cubans.

In Zimmerman's case, he would have been classed as "white" in the race box, and "Hispanic" in the ethnicity box. The fact that so few people understand this (I had to explain it ad nauseum to a Puerto Rican police recruit once.... he was pissed to realize that he was Caucasian) is part and parcel about how fvcked up we are in this country over all things racial.... and I blame the minority racists and their guilt ridden enlightened white enablers for this.

That in the case of Zimmerman, they are trying very hard to say he is white to portray white on black hate, whereas Obama having one white parent, is always depicted as 100% black. If they used the same standard with Zimmerman, there would be no mention of his one white parent.

I don't know, for I haven't read the police report. All I know, is that this trial is being prosecuted by the media, and they sure have a panache for claiming Zimmerman as white/hispanic.

Essentially, you have a media that is more than willing to label Zimmerman as white hispanic, while ignoring the fact Obama is more white than most white people. Nothing more, nothing less. The media has shown their bias.

By the way, does the police report state Zimmerman as being white/hispanic? I haven't followed this case closely - just the generalities.

Obama has nothing to do with this trial, other than the fact the media is NOT treating Zimmerman like they would a person like Obama.

The media is twisting the truth to fit their agenda.

If Zimmerman is white/hispanic, what does that make Obama? WHITE/African American? Especially since his African dad was a no show and Obama was raised by a white woman and her white parents.

Do you see what I am getting at? Why is it that the media even mentions the "white" part of Zimmerman's heritage, when America is supposed to be SO tolerant of minorities. Why not label Obama as the first white/african american president?
