I don't know, for I haven't read the police report. All I know, is that this trial is being prosecuted by the media, and they sure have a panache for claiming Zimmerman as white/hispanic.

Essentially, you have a media that is more than willing to label Zimmerman as white hispanic, while ignoring the fact Obama is more white than most white people. Nothing more, nothing less. The media has shown their bias.

By the way, does the police report state Zimmerman as being white/hispanic? I haven't followed this case closely - just the generalities.

There has been, for quite some time, a large movement in the media to not mention the race of criminals...scholars said the crime reports give minorities a bad reputation, so many outlets do not provide the race of the suspect.

The News Journal is ridiculous...suspect listed as a "6'1, medium build, wearing a white t-shirt..." with no mention of the suspect's race that is in the police report.

So, yes, when the media constantly drums up the "white" on black part of this story, including it in every angle available, it is intentionally framing the issue to their benefit. Add that to the fact that they routinely ignore the black on white crimes. How much mainstream media attention did we hear about the black gangs randomly beating on whites last summer? Seriously, one random dude in Florida kills one black guy and the media is on it 24/7 for months on end. Black gangs specifically target and beat whites in several cities and the media goes into silent running.

Wonder if Obama thought that some of the perps looked like they could have been his son.

CHICAGO (AP) - Authorities in Chicago have charged a 22-year-old man in the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy who was gunned down while eating pizza with his sister.

Police officials on Wednesday said Andre Alejandro of Chicago is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ivan Alanis early Tuesday in the city's Uptown neighborhood. Alejandro is due in court later in the day.

Police say Alejandro entered the pizzeria where Alanis and his sister were eating and began to yell gang slogans. Investigators say the gunman left but returned with a handgun and fired several shots through the pizzeria's open door.

Alanis was shot in the face and was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
