I am sorry, any team in any division would have a tough time dealing with all of these things @ the same time. Not saying Montana will do poorly but this is alot for any team to overcome. The fact that Montana is only returning 7 starters on both sides of the ball alone, including their QB would be reason enough to create doubts how good they would be. I really cant see Montana winning the Big Sky this season but I still can see mid to upper half finish in the conference.

Out of curiosity, do you any idea Vidav, or anyone for that matter, how many players have been accused and had the accusation be founded in the truth? I can't seem to keep it straight because the names aren't being released. The only ones I am sure of at this point are:

Beau Donaldson - admitted to the fact, but is still pleading not guilty of rape.
Jordan Johnson - from what I have read, he got drunk, went home with his ex-girlfriend and then regretted it in the morning, which then resulted in her claiming he raped her.

Even with JJ, I am not sure it went down this way, as the information was taken from eGriz and the "sources".

I will be surprised if JJ is found guilty of rape, if it even goes to court. As to being expelled, considering everything is under investigation still, I think he got screwed, unless the group making the decision, knows more than we do, about the incident. I could understand being suspended from the team, until more facts are know, but being expelled is overboard, regardless if it is an athlete, or non athlete.

My feeling is that this is still a knee jerk reaction by the U of M directed at the football team. When the FINAL findings come out, I think most people will say the U needed to do some cleaning up of the football team, but didn't need to go overboard like they did. I think what is going to be more damaging is how the U, and the local police department handled the regular student rape charges.

Of course now that the NCAA is involved, I am wondering if they are looking into the eGriz rumors that the HC and AD directed the football players to a local attorney when in trouble.
