Disagree Gil. IMO, McCain would have been better off with a moderate like Tom Ridge. Yes he would have risked alienating the far right but I think they would have voted for him anyway out of fear of an Obama presidency. We'll have to agree to disagree. IMO, Ridge, Pawlenty, Mitt Muffin, etel were pretty safe, status quo choices. McCain needed to make a statement to gain support, and he did with Palin.
