Sure - Danny did nothing wrong in those losses - he choked.
And who cares about being the best punter - which he is not even close to being. There are dozens of better punters than he was. Hell, even in his best years as a punter he wasn't a top 5 punter in any single year. - he should have worked harder on being a better QB - maybe they would have won something.

Yards per punt: 40.2 (tied for 201st all time)
Punts blocked - 47 (47th most all time)
I would say he doesn't even rank top 100 of all time by those numbers.
FWIW, I started looking at college numbers from last season....
In the FBS the average punt was 40.9 yards - he wouldn't even be an average FBS punter.
Heck, by the numbers he would have been average for an FCS punter.
