I am surprised that AG Holder continues to allow the blatant discrimination against minorities by our financial institutions...demanding IDs to cash checks and the like...

I find it appalling and offensive that I must present an ID when I get pulled over by the police.

Seriously, showing your ID to prove you are a citizen shouldn't be discrimination. If you don't, you open the doors for fraud and abuse. I guess that is what Holder is hoping for.

As I've written before on various boards:

It's not hard to determine which Party most benefits from voter fraud. Every time a proposal for something that will make voter fraud easier comes up (like motor voter back in the 90s), the Democrats are for it and the Republicans are against it.

Every time a proposal for something that will make voter fraud more difficult come up, the Democrats are against it and the Republicans are for it.

It's as predictable as sunrise or sunset: Proposal to make voter fraud more difficult. Democrats against it.

Mexico seems to have it figurd out

Contray to what every you can imagine, you’ve heard or been told. The Mexican Electoral process has several safety measures. You DO have to have picture I.D, a voter’s card, your number MUST show up at the precinct where you were registered. The ballot boxes are all clear plastic, you can see that there aren’t ballots already IN THE BOX they take video shots before, have judges from each party to watch that the rules are carried out.

Then a silver nitrate solution is put on your thumb so you can’t vote again, and a hole punched in your ID that says you’ve voted. I think it’s FAR better than any thing I’ve seen in the USA. I was at one time registered to vote in the General election in 3 states. There are many loop holes and ways to commit fraud in the US, but no so easy here in Mexico. Facts are stubborn things, said John Adams.

1 in 8 voter registrations are incorrect - that's not a good thing. Don't know why someone needs to prove fraud before we make the effort to clean things up that are clearly wrong. That's like saying we don't fire extinguishers in a building because it hasn't burned down yet. Waiting for proof of a disaster before we take any steps to avoid it doesn't make any sense. Sure the GOP is somewhat disingenous in their reasons for voter ID's, but the Dems are just as political about it in blocking those efforts.

I suspect it happens quite a bit. In St. Louis, every single election of significance has "irregularities". These are usually reports of people in black areas of the city being bussed from polling station to polling station. It isn't uncommon for Democrats or ACORN or some other Negro organization to successfully persuade Dem judges to keep certain polling stations open hours after they were scheduled to close.
