Agreed. Not a big fan of Grassley's but one of the first quotes I've seen from someone on the hill that accurately reflects the sentiment of Americans.
Anyone who is heavily vested on Wall Street and lost 30-50% of their life savings or entire estate value I will guarantee shares that sentiment.

Now...how does America impart that same frustraton to Pelosi and Reid who are scampering around concocting more schemes to spend our tax dollars, while cooking up the largest "tax" increase in the past 45 years with their Cap and Tax plan.

That's exactly what I was saying about Iraq circa 05 - 07. The Democrats pulled the same crap, except for Dennis Kucinich and Ron Paul. They both said, stop funding and come home. This is not a party issue, it's a broken Washington issue.

Taxes were already cut for many sectors below what they should have been. It didn't help the economy long term.

Isn't the stimulus package (for the banks, etc) investing in the private sector?

And isn't the private sector the ones doing the stealing?

One of our great Presidents said all of the following. He lowered taxes, and was proven right as tax revenues actually increased.

Bush cut the top rate 3-5% - not the same as cutting it 20% or more.

Relying on the hiitory of Kennedy's tax cut, Reagan cut taxs too, arguing that lower marginal tax rates would result in more tax revenues. It worked then too.

If anything, the federal government needs to stimulate the economy by bringing the highest tax rates down. Raising them right now, as the President plans to do, is a mistake.

Funny how abrogating contracts was looked at differently when they pertained to the UAW.

Here is how to deal with these parasitic cokesackers if the bonuses must be paid:

1) Make them show up in person to collect them.
